    Default stand-up comedy

Looking for suggestions of good stand-up comics to listen to while i work

A few i've been listening to recently:
    Billy Connelly
Michael McIntyre (yay bbc iplayer, currently a whole gig on there)
    Rich Hall
    Adam Hills
    Tim Minchin
    Jimmy Carr
    Frankie Boyle
    Russel Howard
    Jack Whitehall
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    No Lee Evans?

From your selection you love the UK humour so I may help you a bit here.

Sean Lock - I've only seen one of his gigs but I enjoyed it.
Barry Hilton - SA funny man. You may struggle with some of his SA slang though.
Lee Evans - Can't help it. Love the man
Eddie Izzard - One of my favourites
Dylan Moran - Only ever found one but love the irish git.
Dana Carvey - He is actually funnier than his movies
Ricky Gervais - Prefer his standup to TV Series (hate the series)
Dara Ó Briain - Another green man

Well, I'll leave it there for now, if you like I can add to it.
Don't let common sense stop you...

Well naturally i love the UK humour, i'm from the UK - though from my 1st list, 2 are aussies & 1 is american so...

Thanks for the suggestions so far, should help keep me giggling for a couple of days.

Incidentally, I only just remembered that the new series of Mongrels started yesterday so have been watching that on iplayer so far - great stuff, though some of it is rather cringeworthy in just how close to the line it goes
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I'm from the UK too - and agree with most of the comedians above, but one of my personal faves and largely overlooked is Kojo - an awesome comedian from london - check him out!

    1. Bill Hicks
    2. George Carlin
    3. Richard Pryor
    3. Joe Rogan
    4. David Cross
    5. Eddie Murphy(the old stuff)

hit and miss with Doug Stanhope(think I spelled it wrong) as he seems to be your drunk uncle on stage...sometimes hilarious...sometimes pathetic.

and another mention for Bill(R.I.P.) as his comedy is so poignant yet today.
