Im not quite sure how to respond to that. epic gem + ravens sight = +4 to hit. Nothing in the raid has high ac so its not even needed. Epic cloak of night = dodge 2 and dr5. I can craft dodge 2 with new crafting system and stone skin is dr 10. Epic grims braclet = dodge 3. I have a lvl 12 ring with dodge 3. Epic 3 peice crono set gives 3 ac and 3 str, not replacable with anything else.

Can this be done with less gear! Sure why not.

Whats the next question...... Can it be done naked? Bare fist fighting? That would be as silly a question!

Been thinking about switching to fighter instead of pally on a very similar build just not sure if I want to TR until I flesh out a bit more equipment.

There is already plenty of build info on the forums. I like to make unique builds so when I join a group I dont see another three just like it, so I dont share them with the general population. The best thing about DDO for me is the custom character builds and the 1000's of different ways to make a toon.

Search forums for the general AC info and then tweek your build. Or be the 100000000000th 18ranger, 1rog, 1 monk!

Just change to LN to avoid unholy damage and I love the build

I really like 2+ rogue levels as a splash now for wand and scroll mastery, I think it has a lot of potential when combined with healing amp and stunning fist from monk (to leverage the sneak attack while soloing).

Tough call between 7 rogue and 6 ranger though, tough call indeed.

7 rog is more damage! When I solo I use GS radience in main hand and tier 3 alchemical in off hand. Giving 30-40 sneak attack damage / swing.

Get your gear first. Have everything you need for every level and cap, then TR.

the epic bump is a big difference. You will find numerous threads of people doing low level raids and quests epic geared as a solo.
It is still a feat that few do, or can do, but something that same toon probably could not do before the epic gear and epic weapons..But with cookies and ship/ddo store stuff you can come close I guess.

The issue is, with ddo going towards this epic endgame, all the other content is way outmatched by these toons and there is not much for them to do... 17th level raids and the like by an epic 20th toon...sounds like they are getting bored and turbine needs to ramp up some content.

But again, feats like this becoming more common are still rare and it is something my 20th level fighter with no epic would never be able to complete. Just having only 12 minutes of death ward clickies means I would be de-leveled so much it would be impossible. I am thinking of doing epic gear and weapons, and add some cookies for longer deathward and this should be feasible...

Yes theres no doubt epic gear is powerful. However to solo this raid as a melee you need 2 things, high AC and high UMD. With no ship buffs Sestra has average AC 97 capable of 105 as well as 105% on heal scroll. These stats can be reached without epic gear, so in my oppinion the raid can be completed solo on a less geared toon.

Well, with 4d6+9 sneak attack from rogue vs +9 from ranger w/FEs/rams ranger will overtake at about 50% fort if the 10% offhand and decent gear is included (not taking into account haste boost - which you have from fighter - and possible assassin I pre - which I doubt you'd have taken AP wise).

I more like the possibility of 6 ranger in contrast for manyshot which is a great utility move. Still, it's not as cut and dried as it once was (between tempest I nerf and W&SM for rogues).

For 7 rog + ninja spy 1 and 2 past life rog I get 6d6+11 backstab. I did do a 6 monk, 6 ranger, 8 fighter build not long back that was very solid but i find the rog version more fun. Not to mention loads more skill points and UMD.

Took about the same amount of time as my pure single life paladin. But still impressive to say the least and welcome to the solo melee VOD club!....I assume with the rogue levels your umd is high enough to use heal scrolls? But nice that I see you also did it on hard! I haven't bothered to try that yet...I don't know if I want to spend 2+ hours trying to tackle that. LOL. One thing I have seen now though....the devils can be killed with Terror, might help to cut down the time if you are killing them.

Well, a wizard and favored soul can do it in about 20 min, it takes a melee on average (from what I have seen) 80+ min. And the melee needs to be an ac build (or have a LOT of silver flame pots and chug chug chug away)...a lot of the time, not the easiest build to make.
