This relates to trolls, kobolds, tieflings and other trash mobs.
The following points need to be addressed:
- mobs doing ranged attacks into walls when player is out of sight or blocked (targeting issue) instead of following,
If mobs can't follow, stop acting like an idiot and shooting arrows into walls.
- mobs follow player while in sneak mode without losing aggro - ok, i understand that a mob should follow a player who did a sniper shot or assassinate or opened a door and a mob saw him and then went into sneak mode,but for how long? Where do they lose sight/tracking? Nowhere/never! That's AI problem. Add a timer, that after a mob can't find a target it's following, to return to the spawn point. Let it be 20 seconds or so. This makes sneak mode and tactics usable.
- if a player aggroed mobs and used invisibility on himself, do something for AI to stop following - as they don't hear/see the player any more,
- a mob can't see a player after he went invisible, but walks towards him by being turned somewhere to the opposite side of the player - this is an animation bug. I can't reconstruct it here, but it does happen.
Any other suggestions?
