I'm looking to trade large components (scales primarily, but whatever) for your Cannith crafting essences. I'm mostly interested in larges, but I'll need the small essences too.

I have plenty of greater essences.
What would be the rate for a trade ?

I can buy greater essences for about 300 a pop, and lessers for 100. LDSs can be had for about 325k. Everyone tries to get more for each side of the deal, but that's about the bottom price for everything.

This leads me to roughly:

1,075 greater
OR
3250 lesser

or some combination thereof.

Sound reasonable?

a greater essence can be converted into 5 lesser, so, the numbers seem a bit, erh, curious.

Heh, you're right. I was just going by what I've been able to purchase through the trade channel, rather than anything that makes mathematical sense.

Ok, I'll lower the greater essence a bit and raise the lesser. Here's a listing for any large I have. I actually have enough to make a lightning strike weapon.

I'll accept 5 lesser essences instead of a greater, until I get too many.
Arrow - 230 greater
Bone - 35 greater
Chain - 175 greater
Scale - 950 greater
Shrapnel - 400 greater
Stone - 475 greater

So... does that sound reasonable?

I don't know, I assume a far trade would be :
N scales gathered in several Shroud runs are worth the essences obtained by deconstructing the items gathered in those Shroud Run (+ essences found in chest)

But I've never deconstructed anything, so I cannot tell.
950 for a scale seems high though.

Well, you can sell a scale for 325,000 and you can buy a greater essence for 300 (I was giving you 350). My conversion says that's roughly a 1,000 to 1 ratio.

Just because you might get 100 greater essences in the time it takes you to get a LDS does not make the two of equal value.

I might just do cash transactions and sell my components and buy people's essences if that makes it easier.
