Default advice on pure fighter builds

I'm planning to roll a new character and would like some advice on which build would be better. I would like to be able to handle end game content, but if neither build is able to then at least be able to reach level 20 to be able to TR. I am not sure what gear I will be trying to get so did not add it to either build.

You will be able to handle end game content with either build and (relatively) easily obtainable gear. With that said, they can both be tweaked a little:

    Build 1:
Haste Boost IV (you could straight trade Toughness IV for it)
Power Critical is a literally useless feat. You will never see any benefit from it. As a Kensei you have +7 to confirm criticals, and you are not going to be missing that much anyway, another +4 is literally useless.
Iron Will is almost completely useless. You will have buffs and immunities that take care of almost all Will save attacks, and against those that don't your save is probably not going to be good enough to matter anyway.
Possible replacements: Toughnesses (with some feat re-arrangement), Improved Sunder.

    Build 2:
Dodge is almost completely useless. Your AC is just not going to be good enough. Same suggestion for replacements as above.

Without an eSoS, THF is inferior single-target DPS in end-game. If single-target DPS is a goal of yours, therefore, build 2 will be categorically better for a long time.

    Half-Orc fighter Two Handed build

    Stats:
Strength 20(+2 tome at level 7)
    Dexterity 14
Constitution 16(+2 tome at level 7)
    Intelligence 6
    Wisdom 8
    Charisma 6

Feats: At level 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 you will take the toughness feat. This simplifies this so I only have to cover the fighter bonus feats.

    Fighter feats:
    Level 1: Power Attack
    Level 2: Weapon Focus: Slashing
    Level 4: Weapon Specialization: Slashing
    Level 6: Two Handed Fighting
    Level 8: Improved Critical Slashing
Level 10 Improved Two Handed Fighting
Level 12: Greater Weapon Specialization: Slashing
Level 14: Greater Two Handed Fighting
Level 16: Greater Weapon Focus: Slashing
Level 18: Superior Weapon Focus: Slashing
    Level 20: Improved Sunder/Stunning Blow

Feel free to tweak the feats to as you prefer. Stunning Blow is useful during level ups, but not mandatory. Imp Sunder is used almost exclusively on bosses, but works on most anything if you want to see it's fort and AC drop.

    Enhancements in no particular order
Orichs Melee Damage II: 6 AP
Orcish Power Attack III: 12 AP
    Orcish Strength II: 18 AP
    Racial Toughness II: 21 AP
    Fighter Toughness II: 24 AP
    Fighter Strength III: 36 AP
Fighter Attack Boost III: 42 AP
Fighter Critical Accuracy III: 48 AP
Fighter Weapon Specialization II: 51 AP
    Fighter Kensai III: 59 AP
Kensai Specified Weapon Mastery III: 62 AP
Fighter Haste Boost IV: 72 AP

This leaves you 8 AP to play with. If you went with stunning blow, then you will take
Fighter Strategy(Stunning Blow) III: 78 AP
    Fighter Weapon Alacrity: 80 AP

If you went with Improved Sunder then replace the Stunning Blow enhancements with Sunder Enhancements.

    Strength breakdown:
    20 base, +2 tomes, +5 level, +5 enhancements, +7 item, +3 exceptional, +2 rage, +2 ship buff, +8 power surge = 54

Damage: +27 strength, +16 power attack, +4 weapon specialization feats, +4 kensai and fighter enhancements, +5 weapon enchantment(+10 with epic sword of shadows), +4 half-orc enhancements, +2 shintao set, +2 frenzied berserker set = 64 dmg per swing before criticals and burst effects on weapons and dice are rolled.

    Hitpoints
    200 fighter
    20 heroic durability
    154 7x toughness feats
    40 enhancements
    10 gianthold favor
    80 constitution
    ---
    504 hp naked and unbuffed
    ---
    Geared
    60 +6 con item
40 +3 exceptional con and +7 con item
    30 Greater False Life
    20 Minos Legens
    45 Green steel
    ---
    619 hp equipped
    ---
    Maintainable buffs
    20 rage potions
    40 yugoloth potions(tanking only)
    20 ship buffs
    ---
    699 hp tanking, 659 dps

I won't pretend this is the best build, but it's what I'm using, minus the tomes, for my fighter. You'll have a very durable toon who can tank most content and will be able to survive well in epics.

Agree about Iron Will and dodge, pwer crit is really only beneficial on a couple epic mobs with very high AC and is pretty useless as well since you'll confirm most of the time anyways with the other stuff. Better to go with extra toughness instead of those.

    All in all decent builds.

Well, I'd wrote up a twfing build as well, but the forums saw fit to log me out so it's lost, and I don't feel like typing it all up again right now. Use the orc build I posted. It'll do you well from level 1-20 and kick ass the entire time.
