How about with GS Blank materials? Allowing us to trade 3 or 5 or whatever for 1 of a needed material. I have more pebbles, Husks, and petals than I care to look at, but not enough twigs, funks, or fungi. I'd say 3-1 for the ones you get in quests, 5-1 for the ones that drop from Vale rares would be fair enough.

You know specifically where the blank ingredients drop, if you need more, run the quest. Otherwise, they are usually available in the AH for those that do bother. Its not exactly the same as the scrolls, where they can require hundreds of runs to acquire.

If the devs really want to make the blanks less troublesome, add the funk and others to the shroud end reward list. When you have to choose between a large ingredient or a funk, that gets a little more balanced.
