So I have been trying to design a build for a Barbarian to level to 20 rapidly and easily. It will be a third life, with previous PL's being Wizard and Artificer. Once the character gets to 20 I plan to TR out of it right away.

I have looked at several build ideas ranging from pure barb to split. Bellow are some rough outlines of builds. What I am looking for is input on what others would feel is the best for rapid quest completion, assuming a 36 point build. I also like to run on elite for the bravery bonus, and have no problems running hirelings if needed.

Equipment would be Cannith crafted or GS and a host of other randomly obtained items. Again, I am not focusing on an end game character, and plan to TR out of barbarian right away for the PL feat.

Build 1
Half-Elf 12 Barb/6Fighter/2Rogue - Being able to take care of traps is useful when solo, and evasion is very nice if I can make the saves. Fighter levels grants early feats to help get combat ready and the barb levels meet the requirement for TRing. Dilly would be cleric, to use wands out of combat for topping off and rez scrolls, assuming the hireling is out of sp or dead.
Stat spread:
STR: 18
DEX:10
CON:16
INT:11
WIS:13
CHA:8
Would eat a +1 tome to int for additional skill points.

Build 2
Half-Elf 8Barbarian/6Ranger/6Rogue
Stats spread
STR: 18
DEX: 10
CON: 16
INT: 11
WIS: 13
CHA: 8
Same as before, except focusing on a two weapon fighting character who also gets some spells from Ranger for buffing. I feel the fighter version would be a superior choice, though this character may fair better in some content with favored enemy. I could also take Half-Orc instead of Half-Elf, relying on the ranger levels for wand use.
Half-Orc Stats
STR:20
DEX:10
CON:16
INT:12
WIS:10
CHA:6

Has anyone else had a decent build that would allow for good solo ability at all levels, with a hench as stupid as they can be sometimes. Again, not too concerned with end game viability since I will TR right away.
