    Thumbs up Run Speed enhancement

I'd like to see an enhancement for run speed.

It would really help with Premium & F2P people especially.

Making it usable in public areas only, would probably be the most sensible.

    That would be good.

I think a global public +10-15% bonus to run speed would also be awesome. This isn't WoW, we don't need to spend hours getting from place to place.

You mean something different from Striding boots or the Pendant of Time?

    They won't do it.

They already nerfed our speeds down from what % is showing. Ie stride 30% is actually 24%

They could just give us back the % they nerfed it down.

Honestly, this wouldn't help me at all. What slows me down is trying to steer through lag, especially in public areas. Fixing that would be more effective than a global speed increase, which could actually slow me down even more.

The Pendant of Time gives you a 50% speed bonus, and if you actually notice the 6% difference your senses are more attuned to it than anyone I know.

Now, making the pendant induction time much shorter or just an effect that you earn without the pendant... I would agree to that.

Not everyone can get 150 house P favor. You know the Premium and f2p who don't have all the house P pack... But if you give me a guess pass to all the pack with house P favor I will not sign this... but until this moment:

You do realize that Turbine isn't going to cater to you right?

They want you to go VIP or at least buy the packs. They're not going to give you something just to make it easier for F2P and Premies that don't buy a lot of packs.

    That would work too.

Though, I'm not sure how much my lag is slowing me down, so much as making my run look really choppy.

I have a halfling barbarian with +30% boots and the house P trinket. Sometimes I enter the market, run over the bridge, and have to wait for the sales people to show up to dump gems, ammo, and throwers. First person is like a roller coaster ride. It's all a matter of equipment... get some. Stop throwing away your TP on other stuff and buy content with it. The more you have access to, the more you can get. If that doesn't work for you, go to Korthos and get the expeditious boots. Hoard your TP until packs go on sale, they always do for the holidays and a few months after. That means: no GS hirelings, no armor kits, no cakes, no pots, and no crafting boosts. If you NEED any of that to do 'at level questing', then you're doing it wrong. Boost your haggle on a toon and make some plat and hit the AH. If you're plat starved because you deconstruct everything, stop it! They'll just nerf it again.

I don't mean to sound too harsh, but adventure packs cost are close to armor kits. They also go on sale for up to 50% off. At that rate, all of the adventure packs might cost less then some armor kits(black steel is pricey).

By the way, I just capped my first toon and I am not an elite gamer. My main's job is to open everything, try it all and equip the toons that I am currently leveling. It's a grind... but I'm having fun.

Bet I as a "premie" spent more on this game this year than you did.

Apparently my money is somehow less valuable than yours.

I drank a haste pot so I could read this faster.

It's not really needed, I do find it irritating in large open areas though due to being so used to the haste bonus, adding in a speed bonus for said areas for VIPs or TP junkees though...could be extra revenue for turbine.

Uhm... in public only? Without any sense. U get favor for house P and get free pendant of time and ure moving like crazy in public. Done.

But id like to see fast running as a skill, where we can put points in. E.g. 10 points in running = 5%faster running. It could be dex sill. Or constitution.

Well, that's debatable. I buy a lot of points (XP pots, sometimes Memonics, Lesser hearts)

But anyway, the difference is, next year I'm still paying if I want to play, you just have to buy a couple packs to have full access, and don't even need them to have most access anyway.

Your right, it is off topic, as was the comment I quoted.

    Let me quote it again:

My point behind my comment was not shrouded in mystery, nor is my money any better than yours.

It comes down to those that spend even one red cent to help support the game, and those that do not in my mind, lumping a "premie" into the same category as F2P has no basis what so ever. None. Notta.

Bashing any "premie" for not being VIP is senseless and baseless. In case you have missed it, there are an enormous number of players that were VIP for months or years before doing the math and switching to Premium, Myself included. I have bought every part of this game that is available excluding the U11 and later content, just not on every account I have.

As to on topic: I absolutely agree that run speed should be increased, not only in public areas, but also in wilderness areas as well.

If you are having problems like that, the problem may be that you have the video settings set too high for what your computer can handle. Remember, only part of the problem is with how quickly the game can send data to you, the other is how quickly YOUR COMPUTER can render the graphics. Try going to very low graphics settings, and if that problem of things not showing up quickly goes away, you just need a more powerful video card or CPU.

Those that were VIP for months or years will have run the quests in House P on elite and then have moved on. Doing Tangleroot on Elite isn't all that difficult for a level 10 for example. For "Premium" people, spending your money on what is the most important for YOU should be the big thing. VIP for one month for example would allow a quick run though all the low level content through Tangleroot without ANY real problem, give you the Pendant of Time, and there you go. Or buy the pass to get in there to run the quests.

I am not saying that everyone needs to buy all the content, but if run speed in town is important to you, then get your house P favor.
