i played in sarlona briefly and did not like it. the thing for me about finding clerics are. "i dont heal, im a battle cleric" dude, if you wanted to be compan and Self sufficiant maybe you should have chose ranger, paly, maybe even a fighter with healing spells..

i had a really tough quest one day. i was the rogue, we had a barb, we had a monk. and three other clerics. not a single of those three clerics would heal any of us.

when a group has in its listing "we need a cleric" we shouldnt have to say "we need a healer" because a cleric IS THE HEALER! idk...

you cant get mad at a DPS rogue that doesnt do traps. i wish i could say the same thing about combat clerics that never die because the only use there cure moderate on them self and never the party.

Yes you can, that's why the group advertised for a rogue.

Maybe that is how you do it, but is the next person YOU?

    Your arguement is flawed.

No one cares what your opinion is, only there own. If they build there toon to do no healing, as long as they clarify it when they join the group, it is none of your business.

If they join because it is last spot, they are only divine class, and they still say they wont heal, boot them and get someone else. Easy as that.

Main point, it is a game, relax and dont let it stress you out. Dont worry about other other people that you, chances are, will never meet or give two craps about. Let them play how they want to play and you play how you want to play.

I bet the rest of the party will recognize your high ideals, and wouldn't ever blacklist a rogue who drama-dropped.
The bio is meant as a joke and shows HOW little humor people seem to have in game. I got it from the bomb squad jackets I saw some wearing that had that on them. Come on people get a humor bone and stop being so freaking serious all the time.

Can you blame them? I can't.

So you rage quit a group because you expected people to magically know how you play? Did you bother to use voice to say "trap"? Or did you again just expect people to magically know what you're doing?

Sure if someone was actually cussing you out, then squelch them, or report them. But you bailed on a group that was counting on you as a party member. You seem to think this group did you a disservice, yet if you read what you said, it was you that hurt the group (other than the cussing).
here you missed this as you ignored my post: "I tell the group as a rogue trap ahead please let me get it"

Oh yes, you can. Even a half-orc rogue with a starting 6 INT gets enough skill points to max out Search, Disable, Open Locks, UMD and at least one other skill. If they’re too stupid to do so, then they deserve to be called a ******.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

You don't even need max open lock.

If a "rogue" can't do traps (also note, this applies to arti lvls too), it's because they are splashing a few lvls AND do not have the skill points to devote to traps (like a fighter or what not, can be made to work, but fine without). And back on that open lock. Anyone with even a single lvl of rogue/arti should be able to open locks. 1 rank + gear + tools + dex item + buffs = almost any lock in the game can be done.
