    Default Build seeker

    Looking for a build that meets the following criteria:
    Human
    Pure Monk
    Shintao PrE
    STR-focus
    Ultimate Fire or Earth Stance (possibly both)
    Not-a-Stunner
    34-point build

    I say 34pt build because I'm going to TR my current Monk into the above. Neither builds nor gear are my strong points (gear less so than builds), so I'm looking for some help. I figure that instead of trying to "fix" my current 32pt Monk build, it'd be easier and cheaper to just TR. I like the versatility of Humans, and don't have H-Orc or H-Elf unlocked. Already have some gear, but not fully geared by a long shot (missing Kyosho's Ring for one, and Morgana's is a poor placeholder, crafted or not).

    Would like a 36-point version as well, since I may TR back-to-back (depending on my other TRs).

    I think he means he does not want to be real wisdom heavy.

    Two builds in my sig can be tweaked - maybe three. Just ignore the dilly's - I only take Rogue Dilly I anyway so spend the 2ap into something else.

    You don't need to be Wis focused to have very effective stuns. With a Stunning +10 item, your base Stunning Fist DC is 30. Even a little bit of Wisdom puts you into the useful range.

    I'm about to TR my monk into a human, and here is the build I came up with:

    Str 16 +4
    Dex 15 +1
    Con 14
    Int 8
    Wis 16
    Cha 8

    Feats
    Stunning Fist & TWF & Stunning Blow
    Power Attack
    PL Monk
    Luck of Heroes & Toughness
    Improved TWF
    Improved Critical
    Greater TWF
    Toughness

    Enhancements
    4 - Human Versatility
    3 - Monk IR, Shintao, Air, Fire, Human IR, Tortoise
    2 - Toughness, Concentration
    1 - Capstone, Balance, Monk Wisdom, Human Wisdom, Earth

    You could swap to 16 Con 14 Wis for Ultimate Earth (with a tome, naturally). I think you'll get a lot more mileage out of 16 Str 14 Wis than 18 Str 8 Wis, and can't recommend the 3rd rank of Human IR strongly enough.

    I just re-spec'd my enhancements and took Vers IV, Void IV, Mountain IV.

    I always strongly suggest Void IV. Another monk and I were running ToD yesterday - by sheer luck we both proc'd void at the same time. Side by side purple wipes. Impressive.

    I use void IV all the time when I'm not in a different finishing combo.

    Don't forget that wis and dex add to AC. It may not be worth having an 18 str up front (the +1 mod you'd get above a 16 str is expensive - in terms of points). Just a thought...
