    Exclamation Reincarnation and aliment change

    Reincarnation and aliment change
After a resent reincarnation I was trying to change out a couple of fighter levels to paly levels after removing my barb level and found that you cannot use a alignment change unless you’re in a tavern and I could not change to the correct aliment.
A simple fix would be to make the air ship in to a tavern that way you can use an aliment respec after you remove the levels that keep you from taking it

I believe that this was done to keep people from making illegal class combinations such as monk/barb.

Which is the exact problem, and reason why they do not allow you to change your alignment on the ship.

Let's for example take a level 13 barbarian / 7 fighter character, who uses a +3 lesser heart of wood to change some class levels around.

At level 1, he takes a level of fighter, this one doesn't have any alignment prerequisites.
At level 2, he takes his second level of fighter, he sacrifices a barbarian level for this, so it consumes one of his allowed 3 class level switches. Again, there are no problems. He then eats a lawful neutrality tome, to become lawful, since he's a pure fighter at this point, there is no clashing alignment, and he is allowed to be do that.

At level 3, and 4, he goes monk, since he's lawful, he can take those class levels, he again has to sacrifice some of his old class levels for this. in this characters case those would have been 2 fighter class levels which he swaps out.

At level 5 through 8, he takes the rest of his fighter levels

At level 9 and beyond, well, you see the problem here I guess, he has no 'allowed' class swaps left anymore, since he only used a +3 heart, and he still has 12 levels he has to take, which, you guessed it, are locked down in barbarian levels. Not so much of a problem, except for the fact that barbarians can't be lawful, and he is lawful already because he chewed the tome at level 2.

This would cause one of two 'problems'
    1: We have a 6 fighter, 2 monk, 12 barbarian running around
2: He isn't allowed to take barbarian levels, and is stuck on the boat, with no access to Kruz to eat a heart so he can swap more levels

However, the OP was not trying to create an illegal class combination.

As far as I can tell, short of TR there is no way to change alignment if you already have an alignment-restricted class.
