Default Challenges reward items - there's a hole...

Having taken a look at the proposed challenge items from Lammania and their postings on the wiki, I noticed something of a hole.

There's something for artificers/warforged. There are elemental spell boosts for the wiz/sorc. Additional weapon options for the meleers. Armor that is designed for people who get hit a lot. And it all looks great.

But really, there's nothing for a healer. I look at this list, and there's nothing really for a cleric except a chance to help other people get their stuff. I could go on a long story about how that is a theme, how there is generally less stuff out there to look forward to for a class that generally *has* to be there - but that is a bit off topic beyond one point. Having a cleric style item would give us primary clerics a reason to go there and something to look forward to.

I don't really care what it is. But please, add something cleric/fvs - healer oriented. Maybe something with brilliance and void lore for the offensive fvses. Or a brilliance and devotion/brilliance lore devotion lore for the more traditional healer type. Or an item with empowered healing II (or dare I say, III?)

Something - anything - that is directly aimed at the healer types and gives us something to look forward to and a reason to participate other than "get (*&#$ for an alt".

Some fleshie/healer goodies would be nice.

How about a little WF in a music box trinket with a 3x/clickie that sings a Spell Singer Mana regen song.

That would be great! Really love that song. Would definitely run the challenges for it.
    We want more Shavarath quests!

Please fix the Radiant Servant Burst!

But there IS something like that there.

*Kindness* and *doing things out of the goodness of your heart*.

Isnt that all healers need? Especially when most of the game population is still struggling there and have to chug pots because they dont know the raid yet? They're taking on the burden of money/time lost for no real reason so others may have fun!

    ohh, made myself chuckle.

It's the way of new content, sadly.

The low level Sacred Set in the Fens is decent for a first lifer, but not great. The Epic version is truly horrible, with the epic ring being WORSE than the non-epic ring. The things a "healer" may want out of here are more general items like the Robe of Dissonance, Frozen Plate, Twisted Talisman, or Souleater.

The Sora-Kell set was a decent first (or even second) life tool for divines, but since part of the set is a helm, which conflicts with the only low level source of Toughness, it's nowhere near as useful as it could be.

Assault on Stormreach gave some useful divine items (Garments of Equilibrium, Crimson Chain, Scepter of the Ogre Magi), but they are only good for divines as a side effect of their "intended" use. This is still good, because a "healer" would still have a use for running these quests.

Likewise with Chrono, the Abishai (non epic and epic) sets, and the Epic Envenomed Cloak in particular, are excellent for everyone. This is also good since there is an incentive to run the raid.

Madness chain has nothing specific towards healers except the Staff of Flesh Shaping, which isn't bad for a first life character. Everything else are items that are more generic.

House C gave a bunch of crafting options that LOOK good, but really don't amount to much considering the effort, resources, and time it takes to construct them.

Looking further back, the divine ToD sets are all rather horrible. All the rings are WIS+6, which for most divines due to the presence of Concordant Opposition greensteel, will already have and thus be wasted. Divines will have to compete for the same few popular rings, and get flamed for it in most groups, even though they're the ones that have to spend the most to keep the group up.

There is only one WIS+7 item in the game, and it's in a raid that was changed to be very straining on the healer's resources in the average group by u11's changes. There is also hefty competition for that item due to its other properties.

Part of it is probably blame on the overpoweredness of FvS's. It's just that Clerics suffer because of it.
