pale master GS SP item

I still havent started the SP item for my Pale master, HP item is a con-op helmet.

Im considering:

triple pos gloves with wiz VI on first tier - very useful for TRing, +6 UMD, saving some larges and a blank
enervation guard gloves - more scales, need another blank for raise clicky, better effect

what would you chose?

I have hp/con op goggles, triple posative cloak (+150 sp and +6 charisma skills) and Enervation guard boots. I like the cloak with wizardry because it has helped out with TR's and I can swap it out after the sp is used up

Of just those 2, the triple-Positive. +6 UMD (& Haggle!) is awesome. Also consider a triple-Air instead, for the same +6 UMD, and Air Guard. I'm very happy with mine. And if you're UMD is decent, you don't need a Raise clicky, just carry a stack of Raise scrolls if you want to.

Get the Mabar Robe so you can have necro focus, and get that sp item on your goggles.

I like having a few options.

Right now I've got a con-opp sp goggle and a con-opp hp goggle. If I absolutely have to do so I can swap between the two for shrines/buffing. I've also got a +6 cha skills air guard bracer I can swap in or wear depending. If you have the bracers of the demon consort that becomes a pure swap item but it's 1) good in that role...dq bracers don't kill you if you forget to put them back on and 2) don't have any hp/sp effect. Also, if you TR in the future to a non-PM caster those dq bracers aren't as good as the air guard bracers.

If I had it to do over I'd only have the con-opp hp goggles and air guard bracers but the con-opp sp goggles were from another life that hadn't given thought to complete gear yet. I'll say that right now I've finished both of the goggles but not the bracers and don't have my 20th done yet on this life. What I'm seeing from my current setup is that it would be perfectly viable to run just 1 slot - a +6 cha rez clicky goggle and a con-opp hp goggle. I'd only do this if I knew for a fact that I needed all the slots and wasn't going to TR but with the amount of SP's a PM uses on buffing (form, death aura, and regular buffs) this setup would work. Most people would care a bit about being 45hp's short after buffing but for a Pale Master that's 1 or 2 ticks of the aura to top off.

ok first of all dont make a gs sp item and spent the first slot on wiz6 put 10 hp there you will find alot archmagi and wizardry items and no need to spent a slot for this this will also make you have a free 1st slot on your hp item that probably you will go conc opposition in the future and have a free slot to add some blindness-disease immunity there too.

considering this will be your first gs 10 more hp is always nice.
proposal about the slot you can make it on bracers or gloves if you plan to use conc opposition on googles slot later.
or you can create it as googles and decide later about your conc opposition hp item slot.

anyway best choice for gs is googles-bracers-gloves for a wizard depending of what you have in mind about the items you want to wear at lvl 20.

I'd have to disagree here the proc rate is pretty high and is often very useful. I love my e-guard gloves.

GS glove is very annoying if you have a number of vile blasphemies to use. On a PM I would say helm&goggle combo is the best choice.

To everybody who recommends the goggle slot: Im planning to use the magewright spectacles, Spellpen IX seems very nice for Wail and Mass Hold.

I think ill stick to triple pos gloves... nice cheap swap-in with 3 abilties...

the 150 sp on tier 1 are mainly for TR, i have disease/blindness immunity on my other chars but a PM doesnt need these.

Epic ring of mire/epic shaman's band is most certainly a better combo here, and you probably should also use bramble caster for glove slot as well in many cases.
