    Default Disabling PMs?

IDK if its good part of forum, but I'll try to put it here.

Hi, I recieve a lot of spam via PMs in game, and I don't like it.
Is there any way to disable incoming private messages, or even better, disable them for people which are not from my guild/friend list only?

    Thx in advance.

Edit: I want to disable tells from strangers in game.

Thanks for advice, but I was talking about in game messages.

Ah. Think the only solution I've found to disable in-game tells was Alt + F4, sorry.

well a pale master with 2 levels of rogue is a pretty good build and can disable pretty much any trap in game.

Right click on message bar and set incomming text and "uncheck" tells. This will disable all tells though.

    Set yourself to Anonymous.
You'll only get /tells from people that happen to know you're online, like friends, others in your party, guildmates, etc. No more random /tells because those people won't even know you're logged in.
Problem solved. But really, there's no need to do it on anyone other than healers, because other classes don't get spammed with random /tells all the time like healers do.

keep in mind if you turn the Incoming /Tell off on all of your panels you will not be getting any tells wanted or unwanted.

While it is annoying to receive random tells from people the question is, is it really so annoying that you want to shut it off completely. Or is it a leaky faucet and so to deal with it you turn off the main water supply to the house.

Going Annon is an option, but even that could get you tells from players in your proximity.

I'm not trying to belittle what you think is an annoyance, but being one that was around during the time where it felt you got a gold spammer every 5 minutes, the amount of unwanted tells are way down.

If the actual issue is the Sound that tells make then play with the UI volume settings. I believe this controls the sounds of clicks/bells/whistles made by interacting with the UI.
