    Default 18 Ranger/ 2 Monk - Tempest DPS/AC

    Hello, hello!
I'm thinking of doing a build with Tempest Ranger splash monk, to extend the AC and continue with a good DPS. I'm thinking about getting the Feat Whirling Steel Strike, and Half Elf Dilettante feat for Fighter (Longsword Proficiency). What do you think about it and what suggestions can you give me?
Since the characters can use, has a Past Life Pally and Monk, and the other three Past Life Monk.

Thanks and I look forward answers!

Better to go unarmed. Longswords are bad weapons. In comparison, unarmed is amazing and has great synergy with ranger/tempest abilities. The reason for this is that unarmed naturally has a 10% boost to attack speed and for this reasons competes with khopesh in DPS.

On balance though, 12 ranger is all that you really need. Also, you don't need 2 monk levels (as you get evasion at 8 ranger). So, 12 ranger, 1 monk leaves 7 levels left over. 7 rogue gives 5d6+9 sneak attack (with assassin I), haste boost III, damage boost III and trap skills. 8 monk or 7 Fighter are other options.

    Here's a link to an 18 ranger / 2 monk build:

It goes into some detail about why that class split was used over other similar splits, and what the pros and cons are, as well as some possible gear layout. It's not my build, but I'm a fan of any build that has this level of analysis associated with it.
    On Thelanis: Survo ... Wattr ... Tigerpalm ... Cranefist ... Hobbson ... Grayed ... Shadowstance ... Smashcut
