So my fighter has been grinding for his Sovereign Rune of Levik for nearly 3 months now.
I've quite literally spent well over 100 hours grinding for it and have gotten 70+ sovereign runes, yet I have never seen the Levik drop.
The way the system is currently set up it is quite possible to NEVER get the rune you need, no matter how much time you spend grinding.
So is this system working as intended? Is this system meant to be this way, where you can literally spend 100 hours and have made no progress? Is the system meant to have the possibility of never acquiring the rune you need?
If that's the case, if you really intend for this game to have incredibly long grinds with no gains, then no fix is required.
However, if spending 100+ hours with no gains is not what was intended then a fix is in order.
I have a few ideas that would fix this.
1 - make the Runes Bind To Account instead of Bind To Character on Acquire. (not a real fix as you still may end up spending hundreds of hours and never see anything for your time and effort)
2 - make the Runes unbound so you can freely trade them on the Auction House (I really would not recommend this one as it completely ruins the sense of accomplishment for completing your Dragontouched armor)
3 - Have the game keep track of how many Runes you acquire (whether you keep them or not), and after a certain amount of Runes you get to choose 1 Rune of your choice (not from a random list but a specific Rune from the entire list). This would be for each of the 3 different Runes. For instance once you have acquired 30 sovereign Runes you get to choose a Sovereign Rune of your choice.
4 - Add a token system to the Runes where you collect these tokens and use those tokens to buy specific Runes of your choice (Eldritch, Tempest and Sovereign)
Number 4 here is In My Opinion probably the best option, even though it does not help my fighter who has already spent WAY TOO MUCH time for no gain trying to get a single Rune.
