ddo ultra rare items?

like the title, mostly, what is the list of items people will grind for?

i have a few in my head:

bloodstone
gararay
bloodrage symbiont
nachos + eardwealer
raiments
lots of raid loot
tomes
boss beaters
larges
tempest runes
djin cake
bacon

And rainments defiantly not rare. Its just 'iI want it, but don't get it' thing(When u really want/need something it really feels like you have to run 5x for it, but if u don't need it u get it, and don't 'count' how long it took)

Bloodstone i can agree on though, ransacked those chests every week on two toons for over 5 months almost weekly,

Gave up ever pulling it. Got it one day on random run to a epic wizking.

Ultra rare items would just be epics, and +4 tomes of course, if you include the 3 things you need to get them. The rarest item in the entire game would probably be the Epic Ring of Spell Storing (as of now, i have not met a single person on Khyber who has one, or has seen one).

Apparently, the Shard has never dropped on Orien.

It's definitely the rarest item in the game.

i have a Xachosian eardweller, and its "tasty larvae" do not remind me of nachos in any way xD, it is also not a symbiont...

A more detailed list would be nice.

Newer players are often ignorant of what rewards are valuable, because (a) they can't assess how useful something is, or (b) they don't know how rare something is, especially if it drops for them on one of their first runs.

Examples: Retribution dropped on my first Threnal run, when running on my wizard. I took the cloak. I really wanted Retribution but reading the description it looked like it binds to character. Later Carnifex dropped on my bard on one of my early Delera runs and I took the Golden Cartouche. Now I'd reverse both decisions.

Desert Explorer shards
DDO store items in chest
To a lesser extent +4 tomes

Thats it, all other items are either easily farmable and therefor not that rare or are easily purchased because the item does drop and its something only a few want. The above items are truely rare. As to no one haveing the ESSR I know of 3 and I am sure theres one or two I dont know. So the item does drop but getting the shard is impossible and a feat of dumb luck.

I'd add ioun stones to that list. While rare does not mean desireable, in this case about half of them are desired, and two of them very much so.

a shard dropped in a dq last week, now whether or not the person who ended up buying it out of the chest had the seal already in their bag I dont know. I didnt stick around to see who ended up with it.

U coud possibly add some of the iounstones to that list.
