Wrack Construct not working on Purple Named

Been using wrack construct on my rogue lately. The debuff portion of the attack does not appear to be landing on either the lord of blades or the titans in MA. It lands fine on the hounds and other red named constructs.
The extra damage is applying correctly. It is the -30% fort debuff that doesn't seem to land.

I would appreciate a confirmation on WAI.

Can anyone else please confirm that the Wrack Construct debuff is not landing on the Lord of blades or the Mark 3 titan? You will have to inspect him to see it.

U 11.1 fixed it so it now works on orange named, but it has never worked on purples.

Bug or WAI? No idea, but an easily sustainable -30% fortification debuff is pretty strong even if a little niche.

Edit: Looks like I was wrong, haven't done much LoB with my rogue.

I've been using Wrack on every construct for a couple of weeks now. The damage works properly on everything, but the debuff never seems to land on Purple named. Debuff lands on red/oranged named correctly.

I've never seen in land on LoB. I'd be happy to see a screen shot that showed otherwise.

Don't they have to fail a save for the debuff to work? And isn't it reflex, if I'm not mistaken? Could be LoB just has great reflexes for a construct, unlike most of the other ones ...

Wrack is not working on LOB and never has. Other fortification debuffs do but wrack is not applying. You do still get the bonus dice though.

Tested this again on Epic and on Hard today. Also had an artificer in the party attempting wrack construct as well.
The debuff never appeared. Improved sunder, Improved Destruction, and deconstruct all showed on inspect, but Wrack did not.

There is no save in the Description and I have never seen any other construct/living construct save vs Wrack.

I just got Wrack first tier on my Arti.

If you have your ammo loaded and press the Wrack ..... it does indeed fire 3 bolts and you can see the construct damage on each 3 bolts.

Now if you sit there firing and then press the Wrack ..... the first 3 bolts have no construct damage and none of the other bolts fired during the duration have construct damage.

You can sit firing away and watch your animation.... if you press the Wrack after you see the reload animation, it will give the construct damage, but no other bolts fired during the duration have the damage.

should work on all bolts fired during the duration as per description.

Tested on the training dummy.

Please fix this as I would like to get all 3 tiers of it eventually.....

This sounds like a different bug from the one I was describing. I would appreciate a better description.
The description of rogue wrack construct indicates that it will work for only one attack.

That's fantastic. Can you provide some evidence?

You have to love the forums 10 people and the score is about 50/50 on whether this works or not. Let's get some screenshots so we can clear this up. My guess is it does not work on either actually based on observations in game, but hey that is observations. Lets see the screenshots of a) whether the debuff icon is on the Lob, b) a rogue's combat log which shows the sneak damage occurs at a higher rate after the wrack.

Arti Wrack shows a 15 sec duration. Can fire almost 3 times in that duration, sometimes the first 3 bolts get the construct damage, but during the duration no other bolts get that damage.

Have video im trying to get posted to show the arti wrack and whats it's doing.

Read the wrack construct description carefully. The 15sec duration is for the fortification debuff portion of the attack. Then 5d6 damage is only one attack. Fyi you should be able to fire more than 3 shots out of a repeater in 15sec.

I could not get wrack to land (ranged or melee) on LoB ... the damage showed up fine, as you said, but not the debuff ... hopefully its a bug; seems a reasonable assumption that if destruction and sunder and other debuffs land, wrack should as well ...

Just a heads up, tested wrack construct on the Lord of Blades after U12.. the same issues are still in effect. The debuff never appears in his buff bar.

Verified the Debuff is appearing on various red nameds on the way to LoB.

Damage works fine. I'll also put in my word that the debuff does NOT come up when used on LoB. Watched it for the whole raid, the debuff would come up on anything else in there, including the pillars.

So it not working on purple names pretty much makes it a waste of AP for me. I took it because I was asked if I had it for a LoB run, so I said to myself, hey, I suppose that would be handy, I'll go get that. Then watched as I could never get the debuff on LoB the whole raid.

Tested wrack construct on Red named titans in artificer workshops. It works perfectly. Debuff lands and appears on inspection, damage working as previously stated.

well, unfortunately i dont have access to any of the artificers quests since im f2p, but i can do this......




Items used:

Epic Kronzek's Cruelty (Improved destruction [-8% fort when stacked 4 times])
Blasting Chime (weaken construct [-20% fort])
Rogue: Wrack Construct III (-30% fort)

So! they show "stacked" in the Harmful effects im causing on the poor training dummy. I do notice an increase in the overall sneak attack i perform in the helpless dummy when having those 3 effects on the target (getting a best time of soloing it up to 6 secs as melee rogue which is pretty impressive IMO)

What i wonder if they are all stacking numerically, meaning a 8% + 20% + 30% being a total 58% fort reduce... or a 48.78%... or if only the 30% (highest) is the one aplying... but like i said, they do seem to stack...
