    Angry Pando Problems

Trying to download the game... had trouble with the Pando package that was automatically downloaded - the installer download would hang up about 3/4 of the way through... support suggested that I download the newest version of the pando media booster, so i did.. .now the installer is hooked up, but the download is going at like 20 kbps... and saying its going to take 30-100 hours...

can i somehow change the amount of processing power allotted to allow a fater DL speed?I have sent a query to pando help too, and no response as of yet...

It's been awhile, but if I recall, that time estimate is not to be trusted as it is a dynamically changing estimate.

That's the way a lot of downloading has been historically, I take those time estimates "with more than a grain of salt" (With substantial suspicion.)

well the last time i downloaded, it went at well above 1oo kbps... and took maybe 4 hours... I have let this thing sit for the better part of two days and it has downloaded a whopping 13%...

pando, I find your lack of competence disturbing...

If your doing this from a wireless connection....DON'T....find a way to just download the game from a direct connection and then you can install it.

I was trying to download Perfect World a couple days ago from my laptop, kept dropping my connection to the router, took my extrenal HD and just DL'ed it from there....then installed onto my laptop after moving the file to it....no problems at all.

Pando was impossible for me to use to download the client. Even went to pandos site and got newest version. still said icmp.dll was corupt. used the fileplanet download and it only took 2 hours.

I still can't find a reliable way (basically anything but pando) to download the high resolution version of DDO. I tried again via the only high res link that Turbine offers, and it's stuck at 44%, again..

    Default Just not finishing

I am sorry if this thread is old.. But it is still a very new issue. ?maybe it's windows 7?

I'm with those here that gets to 43% then stalls. I left it going a better part of 36 hours while stalled. I got a windows mesh stopped working... I've done every trouble shooting effort there is.. and emailed pando 4 times about it. I also downloaded the newest version.. same one on the DDO site for high res and standard. I do not know how to use the alternate file to install it. All attempts of finding a solution has been ignored or shut out and threads killed.

Back in June is when I downloaded it without issue and this was with Win 7.

As for threads killed? Only one thread got killed, one out of at least 7 such threads.
Right now I'd be suspect that the issue is at Turbine, so you guys have to play the wait and see game.

Until then, I've posted up 4 different links to older high res that hopefully would just have to patch to get updated.

In the past... all it would take would be to copy in the high res dat files into your game directory to be able to enable high rez. It may be enough to copy such files after downloading and installing to a different directory, into your actual main game directory to get them to patch correctly. I don't know.

Thank you for your reports. Let's consolidate the various threads about this here. We're actively investigating these reports, and will post in the above-linked thread when more information is available.
