    speaking bardwise, you are right. Though if you check well what kind of build our poster is after, then you'll see he wants a bard with a certain amount of dps and survavibility (dropping down to 12 bard on first try is a proof imo), so i would personnaly drop these metamagics since on a "dps bard", it's something you won't use that much (especially with only 14 levels of bard). Songs haste/rage is often what happens, to not say everytime, and then you just play like any casual melee.

    You are totally right, and that's my point. If this bard is IN the heat, then he'll want to be efficient meleing. By dropping these metamagics you can get melee feats instead that may be overall more useful.

    Since when did Weapon Specialization give +1 dmg and not +2?
    You are totally right, it's +2. Was certainly drunk/tired/********/trolling... choose the one you want =) My full bad i neg myself for that
    About the 2 dmg > 22 HP... i basically agree. Though in the case of this thread, i think 22 HP are pretty valuable assuming you may lack a wee of it. Though +2 damage on a rather low base damage isnt negligeable at all.
    In this particular case i think both worth each other... but generally speaking 2 dmg > 22HP, ESPECIALLY on a twf toon.


    I think each "ask for build" should be considered as what is best in regards to WHAT the poster wants, and not necesseraly of what is best for THIS class.

    I assume that on a melee bard, maximize and quicken are useless. I may be wrong but i think it.


    Brings me to the last point. By buff'n pike i was kinda joking. The best bards are of course ALWAYS active, doing ALL the jobs. Though if you want to just sing and then pike, you won't be always blamed for it Of course it's not recommended, but on a melee bard, i assume that with this goal you plan to deal some damages too, and the whole thing about a melee bard is about to find the balance between barding and meleing, not just be able to hit with a rapier. You want to melee you CAN, and be doing real good dps for that kind of class, but ya you gotta work on your bard efficiency too, without having to do EVERYTHING a bard is able to do.

    I like your Wolverine build - though it looks like it needs a dedicated healer/hire to look after it sometimes. The more I play this game, the more I realize that being self suffient is so much more useful to a party that just dishing out big hits. And it greatly improves solo play

    I guess that I have my own blinkers on in that regard, & just like you value the strength of taking things down quickly, I value being able to deal with and survive through worst case scenarios (no trapsmith/no healer/they died/etc).

    The extra 22 HP (IMHO anyway) arn't worth it. Endgame (and earlier) mobs will hit far harder than this, & without a guarenteed way to recover - a few more HP isn't going to do any favours.

    I do appreciate the advice from MadMatt70, although does the 2 ac & +10% HP really benefit the build that much? (just thinking about my above response), can loosing evasion/trapskills/uninerruptable healing really be worth lasting 1&1/2 more swings?

    However - on the strength of the community support, the current build includes both toughness feats & drops quicken/max
