    Default Help with Drow Rogue1/Wizard19 Palemaster

    Hi. Im not very good writing in english... i'll try my best.

    This is multiclass build.
    First lvl take as Rogue (for extra skill points).

    If you want to splash your wizzie in this way, you need to splash 18 WIZ / 2 ROG. This nets you Evasion. Then take Insightful Reflexes. (Every endgame wizzie needs this feat. But if you have Evasion, you're insane for not taking it.)

    A wizard's main stat is INT. INT determines skill points, so wizzies get tons of skill points. You don't need to splash rogue to get skill points. If you're splashing ROG just for skill points, you're doing it wrong.

    Splashing a wizzie is a very bad idea unless you want to be an evasive trapper. You want that wizzie capstone. No remotely competent group ever needs a trapper. If you're running with gimps who don't know content, then trap skills can be worthwhile.

    Every competent end-game wizzie maxes INT and CON. Dump extra points into STR and whatever else you like. Half points in skills are worthless. If you have 21.5, you should be at 21 instead.

    A wizzie doesn't need Open Lock. You have the Knock spell.

    I agree with Faent: you should go for rogue 2 and add Insightful Reflexes. Or to paraphrase another poster from another thread - go for capstone or Evasion. I would also dump CHA for STR; +1 UMD is no big deal, but getting Enfeebled to helplessness sucks. Plus how else will you haul back all your filthy loot? A couple extra comments:

    • It looks like you want to be a summoner. Unfortunately, summoning in DDO still basically sucks (except maybe for Artificers). But if you're committed to giving it a go, I suggest taking Augment Summoning early on; later on, if/when you see the light, you can swap it out for another metamagic and drop the skeletal minions.
    • If you're new to DDO, I recommend putting your extra pts into Spot instead of Open Lock. As mentioned, you will get the Knock spell (or can use wands), so you don't have to have the OL skill. OTOH, Spot is pretty handy if you don't know where the traps are.
    • Your enhs could use some work. In particular, don't rely just on fire spells; spread your dmg enhs around a bit more.

    Think I have a drow rogue 2 / wiz 18 build already; I'll post it when I get home.

    Ok, I will raise my 13lvl as a rogue instead of wizard, I'll get evasion and insightful reflexes.
    I think u are right. Summoning sucks. Ill use that enhanments for spread the elements dmg.

    If u have a wizard/rogue 2 i will like to see it.

    here's mine

    personally i took my rogue levels at 1 and 14, i wanted 12 wizard asap to get the tier2 prestige.

    HP looks bad, cause my con gfl item is also my arch magi item, i swap it in after i've finished buffing.

    There's plenty of room for tweaking this build: e.g., taking SF & GSF Enchantment instead of Spell Pen & GSP; taking less Spell Pen enhs for more dmg enhs; putting extra skill pts into, say, Spot & Balance rather than Diplomacy & Haggle; etc. It can also be done without any tomes; but if you do have tomes, INT & CON are the priorities.
