I just built an Artificer. I'm using heavy repeating crossbows. I have rapid reload already (i'm level 4). When I leveled to 4 I noticed as a bonus feat I could take rapid shot. In the description for rapid shot it says something along the lines of can make ranged attacks faster and reload faster. Does this faster reloading stack with rapid reload? Does it even apply to x-bows at all?

The feats stack although the rate of fire increase appears to be minimal if I read other forum posts on the subject correctly.

Rapid shot is definitely worthwhile - the improvement is reduced when stacked with rapid reload compared with just taking rapid shot (no an option for an arti anyway), but still significant.
