Does extend spell feat also extend durations of enchanment spells such as sleep, charm, suggestion, etc. etc?

No, they nerfed Extend to only work on buffs. It does not work on any offensive spell at all (sleep, charm, suggestion, Otto's Sphere, Wall of Fire, etc.)
Basically, Extend is for Haste and Displacement now, and can be dropped completely if you have something else you want.

If you don't have an SSD, you should be using DDOPreload (fixes the slow first login issue)
It's become much more of a personal preference feat as compared to its previous status as something casters were expected to carry.
Currently Pale Masters and buffbots like Bards still receive a great deal of use from extend. A level 20 dps sorc would probably be better off foregoing Extend for something else.
I appreciate your help, I had asked in /a and was told it did with a lengthy explanation attached saying what it would not work on, and it made me think that it was probably best to ask here before I commited to it.
My first Sorc, and I am going enchanter on it, just for ess's & giggles.
Thank you for the replies!
Yeap extend on sorcs is now very rarely taken (lack of feats make it much bigger deal on them then wizards).
You seem to be reading forums so you probably know already but an enchantment specced sorc will in general
not be particularly incredible end game. While you can make incredible ones (ayspam for example) it's very hard
to reach the dc's and spell pen necessary on a sorc just due to the fewer feats.
