Fizban: A question on loot policy for Legends

Hi Fizban,

I would like to know what the Legends guild policy is on raid loot, and proxy rolling.

I am the leader of Crimson Eagles now, and this is a question I would like to have answered so we as a guild know where we stand if joining any Legend's Reavers or ToD or VoD etc.

If you are ok with, and encourage proxy rolling that is ok, no hard feelings, I just think everyone that plays on Khyber should be aware of it as it is not how the majority of Khyber handle loot.

Because he was polite, respectful and sought clarification on their guild loot policy without placing a personal judgement regarding it?
If Fizban replied and said this is not how we do it then I would expect the rest to be handled privately. If it is how they do it then we all know and can make our own arrangements without any issue.

Not everyone views proxy rolling as a bad thing.

When there are expectation clashes though there are issues. Best to be clear on what expectations are so everyone knows.

Let me be clear, I am not trying to cause drama, I am actually trying to avoid it in the future for myself and any other guild, by asking the question.

As every guild has their own tweaks on loot policies, I see Felgor's request to be quite appropriate. Loreseekers has our own loot policy and it is easily read on the Khyber Guilds listing (no, I'm not gonna link it for you you lazy so-and-so) and on our website and were I asked I'd be happy to post it. The more folks who play together know about their respective guild's differences and similarities the better one may avoid conflict. I'm sure Fizban will post in this thread soon enough and settle this once and for all. Just my 2cp.

Sending a PM would do no good as it hasn't in the past Nor has posting on here, or in the other place. From my past experience he wont reply to any of the above I just mentioned. I don't know about the rest of the guild but I know he personaly feels their guild is big enough that they don't need to answer to anyone about any matter. If that's the way they want to run he's welcome to, as he is correct, they're big enough to not have to run with others if they don't want. So more power to him (I guess).

PM me if you want specifics OP, but I don't want to say anything negative on here and get your thread closed.

I would have to agree with most of the posts, if something happened that concerns you about Legends I would have been more than happy to talk to you in game or via forum mail, this would have been the more appropriate way to handle this discussion. However I will post Legends loot policy along with our alliance policy that is a part of our "Legends by Laws". I am not sure what proxy rolling means but if it fits the insert below then I guess Legends does it.

3.2) Alliance Guilds are guilds we interact with in game or via website for the enrichment of Legends. This offers additional questing options for our members to enjoy. A member of an alliance guild should be treated with the same respect we treat each other with.

Note: An alliance member in your party should be treated just like a guild member. This is the agreement that all guild leaders made when forming the alliance.

3.3) Loot - If you pull the loot its yours (duh) so keep it no matter if another guildie or non-guildie thinks your build will not benefit from it. However if you don't want it you should offer it to a guild mate or put it up for roll within the guild if more than one guildie wants it. If no one in guild wants it the next step is to offer it to another party member either as a gift or up for roll. Keep in mind once you decide to put an item up for roll the roll stands you can not change your mind as this looks bad on the guild.

Note: Proxy rolling on loot: This is were player-1 would roll on a piece of loot for player-2 in a PuG with the intent of passing the loot onto the player-2 that wants/needs the loot. This is not a condoned method of activity within Legends, if you roll on a piece of loot and win you should take the loot for yourself.

I really am not sure to what you are referencing when you say I am to big to reply because of some past experience. By the fact that I have over 1,500 posts on the DDO.com forums I would say I reply even more than you do. If I or someone in Legends has rubbed you the wrong way I apologize and wish you had the ability to talk to me about it. Because if anyone truely knows me in game they know that I am as easy going as anyone could be. I love the game of DDO and play hard to have Legends respected in game. As with anyone if you have a concern or issue please PM me.

Most people on Khyber think this is classless and bad, since all it effectively does is give one person extra rolls on an item.

Your loot policy didn't address this issue. Can you clear it up now that you know what is being discussed?

Glad to see this is the case. (Or if it were not the case, I'd much rather this sort of thing be upfront rather than finding out the hard) I heard about the case involving several of your guild members, I hope that (provided the case is true, I do trust the source) there were screen shots and appropriate action can be taken.

I did not look forward to having to watch out for another guild joining groups because of proxy rolling, and once again, I 'm glad to see that it will not be condoned.
