Would would be a fair TP price for pizza? On one hand 9999 TP is obviously too much but on the other if its a small amount then it might be possible to farm TP to get a free pizza.

Requiring that you be at least premium to access the service would be an important start but even then there's a lot of free TP available on a once per server basis. Perhaps exclude first time TP from being used for pizza purchases?

Then there's the 500 odd TP that I get just from leveling up a character.

Here in Australia you'd probably pay $20 for a single large pizza to be delivered but only $25-30 for 2 pizzas, coke, garlic bread etc. With a straight translation to TP that would be 2000-3000, correct? On the other hand if you got 11k TP for $60 (when you got the expansion) you could end up with almost 4 meals at ~$15/piece.

I don't know, hate to suggest any logic into this awesome idea but not sure if its possible to price it cheap enough to be competitive but expensive enough to avoid any tricky stuff. Then there's the cost of setting up the whole thing and the contract with a pizza place etc.

With some creative integration on the back end, they could charge us both transactions separately - hit the paypal or debit card with the passed-along food charges in whatever currency is necessary, and hit our TP stash with the convenience fee for the interface.

Y'all would be fine in AU, and we'd be fine in the US... Where I think there's a challenge is Europe. All those currencies in a little tiny space, I suspect there'd be monetary exchange complications. And with the euro imploding...

    A VIP gets 500 TPs for $14.99 a month.

To charge 500 TPs for a pizza is not unreasonable.

    /NOT signed.

NDA bedarned, I tried this on Beta. It arrived just fine, tasted okay, but the sausage burps last forever. I contacted a GM and he said belch lag was a known bug.

Also, more importantly, the pizza was BTW. Bound to Waist is not good. I already gained 8 lbs from the Easter Egg thread.

I was going to make some smart*** comment about necroing a thread and all, but in this case I think it's allowable. Carry on.

It's not an entirely bad idea. In exchange for your TP and your Address, You get Pizza.

Turbine also gets to send you advertising via mail :P

But what do they do about customer complaints? Do I submit a ticket for a pizza delivered 30 minutes late?

There will be complaints from the pay2dine crowd!

Im all in favour of this tho for what its worth.

DDO can sell 'advertising' fro others products through the store. The store is nothing more than a web browser so it will work fine. Provided its kept in the sotre and not in the game its all good by me.

Link to external site, when you purchase you get some bonus TP.

theres sites that sell all we need delivered to your door.

they could even do a old school pen and paper gamer special: 2 family pizas, 24 cans of special brew, 60 cigs of your choice(optional) and 3 long guest passes and a pack of your choice.

Or the hardcore gamer special: coffee, anfetamines, caffene tabs, 8 cans of redbull and a bottle of vodka. (monk class included as free bonus with first purchase)

I understand yuo americans go for fretos and mountain dew - the above packs are aimed at the european audience but i think you will enjoy them
