Well, firstly this is on another server - so we can't speak about lag on it. Additionally, whether it was that bad or not - the OP seems to say it was, and that's all that mattered. Had he just started healing at that point (instead of presumably piking near the back) they may never have gotten in that mess.

I also honestly don't think you would find this as funny - unless it was a group of guild mates who were having one at each other. For a PuG group of any kind, even if you are screwing one person not at fault at any way you have done a disservice to the community. I agree, hearing the story makes you want to laugh a bit - but it's not really funny.

No here you missed my point:
1. No I would not do this.
2. I seriously care so little about a shroud run that IF it happened to me without completion etc or possible even with and it was a 1 off thing I would probably laugh. No offense but for me (not everyone) I will run shouds back to back for whatever I need from there for the few LDS that I might need now days.
3. While I think it was funny this does not outweigh the impact it has on other people playing and this is the significant issue of it all. It may have been some peoples first or early shrouds and they get this thrown in their faces. These are the ones I feel sorry for.

Do I condone it? No. Would I do it? No I don't think I could even to guildies

I have an abandoned gimp ranger on Argo. I should go back to him so I can get in on some AoK raids. This was pure gold.

He gave the party leader EXACTLY what he asked for: a promise to not hit the altars.

And he kept that promise. I say props to him.

Is this acceptable behavior for all Shrouds? No. But if the guild leader was super suspicious of this AOK guy, the easier route would be to just have declined him from the get go.

If it was me and the raid leader was rude to me when I applied for the lfm I would of just said screw you man and put up my own lfm.

Surely not everyone was rude to him during the run? when I go into a quest/raid I try my best to get a completion for the party. Even if there might be one or two or even 6 people in the raid who annoy me, im not going to screw over the other 5 or whatever number of people who don't deserve it to get back at the others and prove my point.Getting the raid leader and those who doubted me to beg and apologise before I hit the altar would of been a better move. You do get your own back, and you dont screw over anyone else who might not of deserved it to get back at those who did.

I have run shroud a few times (couple thousand runs) pretty sure it means i have an idea of what happens. So you must also know then that the puddles run dry depending on how long it takes to kill Harry. Right? Please tell me you know this. Wait you might not.

Portals to previous parts(and so rest and rez shrines) open when you kill Harry.
There is a rest and rez shrine after clicking the altar.

I am not going to reply to any additional posts directly, as I believe my previous posts have clearly outlined all the flaws in logic that anyone attempting to defend the behavior has offered. I just wanted to request one final thing:

I please stress that anyone who is thinking of or has already responded that they condone these behaviors, post your character's names and guild affiliations (Khyber folks only please).

I realize some of you who don't have these things in your sigs may be well known players and we are just supposed to "know" who you are - but not all of us spend enough time on the forums to make these correlations.

I think we need more open forums of discussions like these so that we can ascertain the behavior and mode of thought of our fellow players so that we can avoid these situations in the future by not grouping with people who have such a schism in their mode of what "fun" or adult behavior is within this game.

So please, don't hide behind an anonymous forum name if you condone - let the rest of the server know. This isn't to try and shame you (or to inflate your egos), it's to avoid future problems on both sides.

Additionally, you can feel free to add me to your squelch/"friends" lists if you condone, as I would prefer to avoid such antics in my runs.

Also, please note that I do not speak for other members of my guild (not do any other guild mates) as our guidelines are more individualized.

I only have one toon on Khyber, and I don't think I have leveled it at all. I think it is taking up space in Hordo's guild though, unless he booted it


And all of my characters are public, so if you don't like people who keep their word no matter the consequences for themselves or others, feel free to black list me.
