Would this happen on Khyber?

I have no idea if this would happen on Khyber, but on my server, it's easier to click decline then to type out a request to not hit the alter. Guess which one would happen.

I'm guessing that anyone that reads these forums will probably do just that in the future and save themselves the potential grief later. One of the perks of being infamous I suppose.

I would do it i would paste the party leaders messages in part chat and let them know i was following my directions. Doind exactly what i was told to do. Specially after getting blamed again by the party who are not innocent by standards at that point. Also maybe he was out of res scrolls and i wouldnt waste a pot on this group.

You guys obviously have zero sense of humor. What he did was hilarious! They made a huge deal of explicitly telling him to not hit the last altar, he was just listening to the leader! While I can see it from both sides I guess I'm just a bit too vindictive. I would have taken the time to copy/paste the tells from the party leader and then made him BEG me for a res whilst apologizing for treating me that way.

Meh. I think it would've been better to stay in and dangle it in front of their noses for a little while, but eventually hit the altar or rez a healer.

I usually don't post in threads on servers other than my home of Argo but I will make an exception here.

There is a whole lot of second guessing in this thread by people who have no idea who AOK is and why we are loved and hated on our server. The people who love us, love us despite our boyish antics. The people who hate us, continue to hate us long after what ever originally led to that decision. I suggest you spend some time on a server before you judge anyone on it.

To enlighten you a little. AOK plays this game to have fun. Sometimes that attitude interferes with other players desire to be stodgy and boring while playing. We make no apology for our antics and if you join one of our parties you better be ready for it or don't join.

Also, if we say we are going to to something we do it. If I say that I'm going to do something I do it, that's the way I roll and after 5+ years playing this game, I have a very good rep as an outstanding player in this game.

Others on my server use every opportunity to grief AOK every chance they get and we live with that without complaint. As an example, the other day I logged in my artificer that I have been leveling up to do some xp runs. I saw an lfm for a quest they I had not done and decided to join. I sent a tell to the leader asking, "u doing that on elite, trying to keep my bravery bonus going?" he says that they are but to get there quick. I spint to the quest and jump in only to see it complete 2 seconds after I join. It's only then that I notice that they were in on norm. I say "whiskey tango foxtrot, this is on norm?" the leader then typed, "yep and you can thank another of your guildies for hitting the shroud altar the other day for that."

Now that fool screwed me out of a bravery streak that had gotten up to 126. was
I mad, you betcha, did I scream and shout? No, I simply said, "well played I'll remember that for the next time. That's a simple example of things that AOK members put up with on a daily basis. So yes, we get a little jaded, especially where PUGs are involved.

So enjoy your holier than thou attitude and if you want to have fun everytime you log on, come on over to Argo and party with AOK. As my son likes to say, we are the bomb...lol

I can see the humor from a sociopath's perspective and I can honestly see someone from Khyber doing it (though I hope it wouldn't be me), but AOK's reputation isn't something Khyberians typically aspire to. If anything, guilds here have worked to make pugs more constructive than this example, in general terms. In summary, AOK might have an infamy that creates drama that most on Khyber would prefer to avoid.
