HELP!! im a paying VIP and can't play nor get help.

after update 11 i cannot play. freezes or crashes "dndclient has stopped working". i have reinstalled it twice, played around with settings, read all forums and tried all advice given but nothing. all other programs, games, etc work fine. is anyone out there experiencing any problems recently? is it a turbine/DDO problem? is it a vista problem? i'm starting to feel as though i want my money back. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might be a firewall issue try playing with your firewall off.

Also posting dxdiag to might help you to get more help.

Reset video options in the DDO launcher repair tab.

Check your CMOS settings for a Vista or 64-bit memory space option and set it accordingly (are you running 32-bit Vista?)

Run memtest86+ overnight.

Look for a newer sound driver.

thanx for the tips.

i tried the repair option thing, i ran a diagnostics, reinstalled the game a few times, i reinstalled my geforce video driver which i believe only supports directx 10. my computer is running directx 11. my pc is runiing vista home premium 32 bit. could the downloaded files that i downloaded from the ddo website be corrupted? man, i wanna play. frustrating. it must be a vista thing as my buddy is playing it fine on windows 7.

Plenty play on Vista.

Your downloaded files are unlikely corrupt.

Install DirectX from Microsoft's site. Your card supports DX10 (It doesn't go to 11).

What does dndclient.log say?

Is there anything in Windows Event logs?

the only things that i changed on my computer since DDO was running fine was insatlling 2 games. dungeon siege 3 and deus ex human evolution. when i ran dxdiag my computer was running directx 11 which like you say my card doesn't support. also, i didnt have the choice of choosing 11 in the options of the game. anyways i reinstalled windows on my pc, my computer is now running directx 10 and the game is up and running. i dont know if it was a directx problem or when i was playing the games i mentioned some settings were changed which caused the problem. its been almost 2 years since i did a clean reinstall so i was probably due anyways, im just happy there is a windows.old file which saves everything. cheers and thanx for all the tips.
