A Chapeau with a very wide brim that has a portable hole in it for that extra storing space we all need. Comes with 50 slots right out of the box.

Probably a weapon that you can temporarily make better by spending TP. Or maybe some armour that occasionally automatically spends TP. Boots of TP spending. Maybe even TP spendbracers. We shall see.
It's a game. GAME! Only a game. say it with me now - GAME. There. That's better.

I remember when EQ2 did something similar....You could order a pizza whilst playing.....

Turbine, take heed, a bad bad bad idea...

Dial a pint? Depends on the pint.... Real ale man myself.

But I want to know now! ;-)

P.S. Do you think it will be dark and mysterious?

Of course or Scrumpy. Hmm a nice Deuchards would hit the spot just about now. Although a Coniston Bluebird may just edge it out.

It can be dark or mysterious (random chance), but you won't get both unless you're willing to buy that version from the in-game store.

We've got three kinds of players here: Those who play DDO like it's WoW, those playing like it's Dungeons & Dragons, and those playing like it's a generic first person shooter. Choose your advice accordingly.

Spending TP doesn't bebefit Turbine, though. Buying them does.
It may be the Gauntlets of Grabbing, that have a chance to grab your wallet.

Huh? Oh eh, sorry! *buffs haste*

Deuchars has gone a little downhill in the last year or 2, IMHO. Coniston bluebird? Magnificent. ALl that flavour and only 3.6%, if I remember correctly.

Serious answer for the new item? Something with a random or unusual property. It won't be a super version of something that exists (superior spell pen IX/exceptional damage +5 etc) but something wildcard and out of the ordinary. Everything wild mage surge and roderic's wand promised but failed to deliver.

Hmm, missed the beer festival last year so only been drinking bottled last couple of years, will try and get a ticket for this year. Also summer lightning is up there. I prefer summer ales, like spring and autumn ones also. Not as fussed with winter drinks but I always check just to make sure.

If it is the best item in the game...Ever, then it can only be one thing: a green steel deconstructor.

Goggles of Monetary Seeing - They let the accountants at Turbine see the actual numbers on your Credit Cards instead of the **** **** **** 1234 that most secure pay sites deign appropriate. If you buy the Epic version out of the DDO Store, it also brings forth the three digit security code on the back...and if you use a Dark Green crystal in the augment slot, allows for flawless forging of the signature.

Well, while I feel like the odd man out not wanting to take jabs at a company trying to make enough money to provide us a game to enjoy, I suppose we could look at this rationally.

If it is the best item in the game. While I have no idea what that IS, I suppose the best way I could go about refining down what it could be, is to figure out what it is NOT.

So It stands to Reason if it is equipped, it Won't be:

    • A Weapon (Too many people playing all kinds of weapons to make a single weapon the best item in the game)
    • Armor (From Plate to Robes, too many options again, so it won't be Armor)
    • Shield (Ummm Yah.. no need to explain.. just not a shield)

So if it is equipped, it will most likely be Jewelry or Clothing (Something anyone can and would wear)

Now the best item in the game, is never the strongest item in the game, there is a good chance it is a handy little item that is just fun, like a Kormor's belt for example. Might not be the "best" belt as far as stats goes... but.. it's still the best belt in the game for it's own reasons.

So I would eliminate "combat" augments from the list of what would make this item the best item in the game, and maybe look for more "fun" like items, perhaps teleport, dance, etc, kind of items.

With that, let your imagination run wild as to what Maj could be talking about.

What would be really cool would be if they invented a cup holder for the PC where you pushed a button and a cup holder slid out for you. It would be a handy place to store your beverage of choice or maybe a sandwich for those times when you need both hands on the keyboard or game pad, or maybe have to work the mouse while steering, and so on.

If the game could embed a little coffee cup or beer bottle icon that could quickly open the cup holder so that there was minimal time lost between dropping off the sandwich or drink and getting back to the game -- that would be just pure awesome.
