Camera going out of control

Randomly my camera will suddenly go out of control and start maxing out in a direction. ie, it will push the camera in to a horizontal spin or cause the camera to point straight up or down. and only way to correct it is to exit the client and restart it.

I can over come the horizontal spinning by going into 1st person and hold the right mouse button and aim the cursor and have to use the other hand to attack

I normal use the arrow keys on the keyboard with left hand for movement and use the trackball with my right for camera changes. I feel it has some thing to do with these shifting randomly.

I have tried switching the keyboard while this is happen with no luck.

It happen so few times tell the other night it did it every cove run i had to restart the client to cure it.

I been trying to observe better when it happens but I have not been able to reproduce it manually. This predates update 11, until past week or two it maybe happen once a week and then the other night it did it 6 or 8 times in mater of 4 hours. I have played lots of long night and it has not happen.

any sugestions?

I've had this happen off and on for maybe a year. Very infrequent for me, but always seems to happen at just the wrong moment

I had chalked it up to me running under Wine and Wine's DirectInput (mouse) implementation being spotty - but maybe it's not. You on windoze or?

Old thread, but I've got the same problem and it's making me want to smash ddo in the b@lls.
Anyone got a fix for this?
I've tried different mice, different mats, updating drivers, and still it just goes full ******.

Just started happening frequently about 4-5? days ago... like every couple-three minutes.

I can only tell you the solution that works for me sorry! This happens infrequently, lately not at all! (**Knocks on wood**).

If you minimize DDO & then re maximize it, it(the problem) will be fixed/gone.

But may still happen, you will always have to minimize/re maximize to fix it. But once you do, it is fixed right away!

I play ddo in windowed mode always 100%. So that is why this works for me! Good luck finding a solution! Cheers! :P! !

It started happening to me too, the odd thing is I had an older comp that was running win xp where this did NOT happen but I would randomly (read: sometimes in the middle of fights) DC from memory leaks, and now I'm on Windows 7 and the DCs are gone but this happens, probably once an hour. Trade one issue for the other, I suppose... would be interested in seeing what causes this and how to resolve it but I'm too lazy to bother.
