Microphone buzz

I bought a new Logictech headset with mic. I have been told that my VOIP has an anoying buzz in the background. I did a mic test and sure enough "Buzz". I have adjusted and tested every setting in the Audio section with no luck. I only have this buzz when playing DDO. All other games are fine. The sound settings in windows (XP) have little to no adjusting. Is there any way to get better sound controling software to help remove the buzz?

Ground your computer better.

Stick ferrite chokes on your power cord and/or mic line.

Turn off fans and/or lights as some of them may be creating EMF that your mic line is acting as an antenna, and picking it up.
Cheep fans and florescent lighting are great for this.

I had this problem for a while, too. I finally realized it was interference from an active USB port immediately next to my headphone/mic jacks. I moved my mouse to a more remote port and the sound other people were hearing disappeared. I've kept that port empty and the issue has never come back.

I tried changing the USB ports and it helped for a minute however when I touched the mic to adjust it the buzz returned. This happend every time I unplugged the USB. The buzz was gone until I touched it. This leads me to believe that there is a static or ground problem. The 2 products linked are great but I was wondering if there is a "Home Remidy"?
