Striding shrine contracts

Would love it, perhaps my cleric, arti, ranger, or paladin could keep up with the barb zerging ahead in quests. Yes i could get some striding item.. but i have better things to equip, though if one drops with what i need in the slot it'll be equipped.

at 5/10/15 there'd be no way anyone in my guilds would allow a hookpoint to be wasted on it.

at 10/20/30 it starts looking justifiable, personally i'd rather see striding added to epic augments but this is ok too.

/signed This is a nice idea. Its one last item needed to be equipped and would be a great boon to get around the early level maps and quests.

Also Im pretty sure this doesnt require much dev time at all since both the effect and shrines are already in the game.

With a 30% Buff + Monk Speed + 30% Striders I would be finishing quest before I started them.

i don't think he meant that air ship buff would stack with 30% item gained striding. Actually id rather see 5/10/15 stacking striding rather then 10/20/30 non stacking striding.

That's correct. The striding bonus isn't meant to stack with striding gear, just like the resistance shrines.

I considered a stacking 5/10 shrine, but I think it would be overpowering. The point is just to give easier access to striding without really changing it. So you may still want to carry striding gear in case you die or the buff expires.

Main reasons were:
- Better runspeed at lower levels during quests, in wildernesses or in the city.
- Makes certain events a bit more accessible to those who don't have/want a Phiarlan pendant.
- Promotes wearing different boots such as Kundarak Boots, Boots of Corrosion, Firestorm Greaves, Anchoring Boots, crafted boots, ...

You all aren't pushing the limit enough.

The Shrine needs to be minimum Guild Level 5.

You don't need to click it, it's a permabuff.

It bestows upon you the same speed as the Phiarlan Pendant of time, but it works inside of quests. Oh, and it stacks with Haste. Yeah, stacks with Haste.

If you're gonna go, go all out.

Have you looked into the new House C quests?
I believe there's an named item that fits perfectly for Striding gear.
Cannith Boots of Propulsion, I think they're called.
Not sure which quest/raid they drop from, but the one someone linked the other day just reeked of pure awesomeness.
Has Striding +30% and Feather Falling, along with +10 Competence and +5 Enhancement bonuses to Jump.
Also a use function that sounds cool, but not sure what it can really do as I haven't seen it in action.

There are plenty of striding items in game.

However I would have no issues with seeing striding as an epic augment. There's no reason not to have it.

Schemes of the Enemy. Quest, not Raid. In multiple chests at any difficulty.

And yes, they're very nice.

The use function is a Leap of Faith/Abundant Step/Wind Walk move, usable once every ten minutes. Not practical for spamming or relying upon, but fun to play with.

Now I know what quest to shoot for, and hope to have a good enough party for completion(s).

I just (re)rolled a new ranger, the ranger sprint boost is my favourite enhancement. It stacks with exp. retreat .... zooom!

This would only help in huge explorer areas and there are plenty of striding items on the AH, as has been said.

Sorry. At the risk of sounding a little elitist, getting 150 House P favour is very very easy since most their quests are low level.
