Crowd Control is a very important part of the game for casters for damage mitigation reasons, which affects the entire party.
When you have a caster capable of effectively controlling the mobs' actions.... oh wait.
You meant something else, didn't you?

    1. There is a nice man standing in the Harbor across from the bad quest with spiders (Arachnophobia). Usually I would tell you not to speak to strange men, but this is a friend of Mommy's (not a special friend!) and it's okay. Talk to him and he will send you to a magical but dangerous place to get new toys!

    2. When you get to this magical place called Smuggler's Rest, there will be horrible terrible monsters everywhere! Don't be afraid, you have those toy swords you got for Christmas last year, the ones that your grandma bought you over my strenuous objections and railing about violence and children. She never listens....anyway! Run around and kill all the mean monsters. If you want to make explosion-y noises when you do, like when you play with your cars and dinosaurs, that's allowed (unless we are in church, like I tell you every Sunday).

    3. When you kill the mean bad monsters, you will get presents! Mostly you will get doubloons, which is like the Monopoly money you keep taking out of the box. Sometimes you will get other things, like treasure map pieces, treasure maps, and compasses. The treasure maps you can find in your Thomas the Tank Engine backpack and click on them. They will show you where a treasure chest is! It will not be like the time you tried to dig up the septic system in the backyard, I promise.

Compasses you will save, because they will let you into the Crystal Cove, another magical place. It's kind of like when we went to Universal, and had to pay a second time to get into the Harry Potter castle. Mommy didn't kill anyone to get the Harry Potter tickets though, don't worry. The treasure map pieces you will put in the box next to Euphonia, who is a nice lady that will give you presents. She is on the boat when you first get to Smuggler's Rest.

    4. When enough treasure map pieces are put in the box by all the people running around Smuggler's Rest, the Crystal Cove will open, ooooOOOOOooooo. There will be a big announcement on your screen that it is open, like the voice at Target that told me they found you the time you were hiding in the lingerie section, asking women if they were sure that was the right size. You will find a group in the lfm section or make your own like in other quests, and you can go into the Crystal Cove together.

    5. When you go into the Cove, there will be kobolds everywhere! Don't be afraid though, they are working and you have to protect them from the other monsters in the Cove. The kobolds have barrels on their backs, and they are trying to collect lots of crystals. It's dark in the Cove though, so the kobolds need torches to show them where to go. Think of them as nightlights. Lead them to the purple crystals by making a line of torches. Bad monsters will attack the kobolds! Kill them faster! Once the kobolds have collected enough crystals for their "quota" (a big word that means "the number of crystals they have to have"), they will keep collecting, and you get to keep the extra!

Sometimes you will get "requisition forms" when you are fighting monsters in the Cove. Those help you get more stuff from the foreman, who is by the door when you came into the Cove. Sometimes you will get barrels. You should put the barrels on the torch line for the kobolds. They will be so happy! Sometimes you will get torches. Use these like the other torches. If you need extra torches or other things, you can buy them from the foreman. Sometimes you will get "stolen gems." Don't worry, you won't get a time out because they were stolen. Keep them for later.

    6. When you are done, go look in the box next to Euphonia. She has all kinds of toys in there for you! The toys will cost doubloons, gems, and crystals. After you get a toy, you can make it even better later! Think of the time you glued your sister's Barbie's head to the Barbie's butt. Like that.

    Does that help?

You're a 6 year old. You should be playing WoW.

*SIGH* So humbling to be sandwiched between two works of genius....

In the harbor, over by the... GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH! You could choke on that! Crayons aren't food!

Ahem. Anyway, near the boat where you originally disembarked from Korthos... WILL YOU SIT DOWN?! I am trying to explain something to you! No, we can watch Spongebob after I am done talking, you asked for this explanation. No, it's not going to take long.

Ahem! Like I was SAYING, over near that boat, there's a port agent that can transport you to Smuggler's Rest. Because smugglers are pretty much a type of pirate. Well, because smuggling is illegal activity that pirates engage in. Because it makes them a lot of money. Because smuggled goods aren't subject to taxes. Because... look, if you don't stop asking why, we'll never get to watch Spongebob. You want to watch Spongebob, don't you? Good, then be quiet and listen.

Anyway, once you talk to that guy and get transported, you'll find yourself on an island. Yes, just like Hawaii! No, we can't go there. Well, because plane tickets are expensive. Because the fuel.... Er, didn't I already tell you about doing this? Yes, just be quiet, PLEASE.

Once you're on the island, you can kill monsters that will drop things for you, and one of those things are map pieces. No, the monsters can't eat you. Well, they can eat your character. Or at least stab him to death. No, stabbing things to death is NOT COOL. Well, okay, in video games, it's pretty cool I guess. But still, I don't... er... look, let's just ignore that.

You turn the map pieces in to a little box, and it will open... no, you can't have a drink. Just... just be quiet! I'LL BE DONE IN A MOMENT! Christ on a cracker! It will open the cove, which will allow you to... no, Jesus was never on a cracker. Yes, I know that when you went to Timmy's church, they told you that Jesus was made of crackers, but... you know what? Yes. Jesus was made of crackers. Can I finish now?!

You open up a dungeon with kobolds that have to pick up crystals. You know what? Fine. Just go ahead and put the crayon back in your nose, as far as I care. If you're not going to listen like a good boy, I'm not going to finish. Maybe you can just go to your room without any Spongebob. Oh? Do I have your attention now?

So yes. You lay down torches, and the kobolds follow the line and pick up the crystals and take them back. Now, the purples are worth five greens, and the monsters can kill the kobolds. Yes, kobolds are monsters too, but they are good guy monsters in this one. Because they're working on the same side as you. Because the foreman told them to. BECAUSE! THAT'S WHY!

You know what? Forget it. GO TO BED! GO TO BED RIGHT NOW!

Dude, never mind you were talking about the wrong CC - the real infraction here is you weren't using words for a 6 year old!

I'm very very disappointed now. Get out of my sight before I get angry.

And +1 to Oakianus and Grace_ana - displaying or not, they were both phun-knee and useful!

Obviously! I can't even get mine to stop shoving crayons up his nose, and my kid's imaginary! Imagine how much worse it'll be when said child actually exists. :P
