Ok, first off regardless of what you try to say to me, I am makin a heal amp oriented monk.
My question is which soveriegn rune would be most useful to my monk. The first 2 runes will be eldritch heal amp (10%) and tempest heal amp (20%)

need to know more really to many options.
Tharnes wrath if you have Tharnes goggles
Disintegration Guard
Radiance Guard
Greater Potency VII if you have Halfing Healing marks
Heightened Awareness 4
Dodge +3
Destruction
After a little research, it would be a toss-up between
Tharnes set 2 bns
Destruction
Dodge +3
Heightened awareness 4
Tharnes bns would be nice
Destruction would seem to be something a dark monk would use, mine is more focused on team support.
Wouldent heightened awareness +4 ac be superior to +3 ac dodge anyways?
So tharnes or awareness. Im leaning in favor of +4 insight bns to AC over ghost touch and -20% melee threat since im probably going to get hit regardless of wether I have aggro or not.
As far as extra info:
My base stats went something like(human)
14 STR
16 Dex
14 Con
16 wis
And i didnt touch cha or int
The plan is to use my level increases for dex and wis to 18 and use a +2 supreme tome when I hit the level(maybe a +3 supreme tome depending on wether its to expensive when they go in store, havent bought either yet.)
Light monk of course
The gear on my heal amp check list goes as:
DT vest(healamp, heal amp, ??????)
Glove of claw
Finger necklace
Jidz-Tet'ka
Im still figuring out what I should aim for in the other slots

Vestments are a quick swap you can have more than one set of DT I am looking @3 myself
HA30% Destruction
HA30% Tharnes
HA10% Salt Disintegration
Look into what you want/need for multi-purpose. Your lvl16 needs could be different than 17-20.
I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure Destruction on DT armor won't work with unarmed attacks. At least it worked that way some time ago. Get some confirmation on that before you go farming for the rune. I agree it would be a great swap in if it worked though. I suppose you have the option of using kama's or quarter staff with it. With the new U11.1 changes apparently destruction and improved destruction won't stack quite the same way they do now so you ideally want improved destruction anyway.

Actually, Destruction is a very "team support" oriented thing. It reduces the AC (and soon, Fortification) of the enemy you hit. That helps all the melee out.
Unfortunately, Destruction on armors does not work with handwraps, so is useless for most Monks. For other melee, it's great.
Depends on the rest of your gear. You'll want whatever you don't already have somewhere else. For most Melee, Heightened Awareness is easy to fit in via GS weapons. Now, Monks can get in on that too via Alchemical weapons: Air on the first tier gives Heightened Awareness 4.
In contrast, Dodge +3 comes on the Chattering Ring, and Epic Grim's Bracelet.
So, assuming you actually have usable AC to begin with, the +4 AC is probably your best bet. Alternatively, I would go with Radiance or Disintegration.
As mentioned above, if this is going to be an active toon, you want more than one set of DT.
My main is a light monk and he has 3 sets that he uses regularly:
1: Base Set (70s self buffed AC Matters)--> Healing Amp/Healing Amp/Insight AC (will change to dodge +3 once i have insight+4 on alchemical wraps)
2: TANK Set (Need to be able to hold aggro) --> Incite / Incite / Incite
3: EPIC Set (AC doesn't matter)--> Healing Amp / Healing Amp / Radiance Guard
My epic set used to have CHA +6 on it in place of tier 2 amp until I was able to slot CHA into an epic slot on my Jidz-Tetka's for the remote stun DC increase.
You need to know what roles you are going to fill with your monk before you can really choose a set.
Healing amp is great when you are taking damage (solo, tanking...) But pretty much meaningless if you are not taking the majority of the damage in a group (your blue bar will likely be filled long before the fighter or barb standing next to you even with no additional amp).
NOTE: He also has a 4th Guard set of DT but it doesn't come into play much anymore.

I'll just go ahead and confirm with a previous poster: Destruction on DT vestments does NOT work with unarmed attacks, and this is WAI.

Sounds like you're going to be getting hit a lot and be self-sufficient. Defensive properties like Radiance Guard (effectively a high proc displacement guard but annoying) and Earthen Guard (good proc DR 10/adamantine guard) are worth considering.
Also consider Smiting Weapons for the new raid, it doesn't add the bane damage but has the vorpal effect. I'd make multiple sets, considering how easy the first two tier runes are to get.
If you care about AC use Icy Raiments as you can slot the other AC bonuses elsewhere.
Lightning Strike is the best DPS guard on non-electric resistant mobs while Disintegration is the next highest DPS guard and it works on everything.
Like Destruction, Smiting doesn't work with Unarmed.
Lightning Strike is not available as a Sov rune. Disintegration is the best one available.Lightning Strike is the best DPS guard on non-electric resistant mobs while Disintegration is the next highest DPS guard and it works on everything.
