Fun fact: this concert actually sells out even though singer is fake and it's all vocaloid.

Did you know that vocaloid was a project between a spanish university and Yamaha? (Yamaha putting the money).
    As a half-spaniard, I was very surprised.

I went to the one in LA. Absolutely amazing.

The "hologram" tech isn't new, though it's a novel application. It was originally designed for teleconferencing/telepresence.

It's not actually a hologram, but an image projected on a very fine mesh screen.

actual holograms are in the works...

History Channel did a piece on fireworks, past present and future of... and showed a machine (one of a kind prototype) that projected a crude image midair without anything to reflect off of... rather impressive even if the quality reminded me of 80's led handheld games.
(Say): Haywire says, '"Hey, I don't come into yer home and play with things."'

Vocaloid? Isn't that the tech that has you record some diaphonemes for it to combine into words? I always wondered why it took people so long to come up with that idea for realistic-sounding computer-generated vocals.
