I would choose a different race, e.g. human. This would result in extra con and less dex. Even less dex would be an option.

The +2 competence bonus to attack from inspire greatness can be slotted on items. I'd drop it and take 1 level of fighter instead.

    Human bard 8 / ranger 11 / fighter 1
    17 str / 12 dex / 16 con / 8 int / 8 wis / 9 cha
9 feats: PBS + WF ranged (AA), PA + WF slash (WC), toughness, extend, IC slash, IC ranged, EWP Khopesh

Alternatively, drop a feat (e.g. khopesh or IC Ranged) and replace the fighter level with rogue and you can do traps (evasion from ranger). You'll need to put a few points into intelligence though to have enough skills (e.g. swap dex and int).

that said i do agree picking up a rogue level at level 1 for traps could be quite beneficial to a build such as this, but with 8 int it'll be very gear / buff dependant to be a competant trapper.

i'd also suggest swapping favored enemy elemental for construct.

Umm, yes and no. Yes, I did include the feats. And I hoped the ranger levels would be enough. But now that I look at ranger enhancements it seems that AA enhancements are rather spread out. So yeah, the toplevel enhancements would be unreachable.

Half-elf would be a much better racial choice for this build for versatility: damage and rogue dilettante.

I've got to say though, I'm not too keen on the level split.

On one hand, 11 ranger doesn't really offer particularly much over 6 ranger. 6 ranger / 2 fighter would give the same ranged feats (as an example).

On the other hand, 9 bard doesn't really give enough bard to be worth while. I mean, you'd have to compare this with the buffing power of a pure level 20 ranger who has access to such spells as freedom of movement and just about everything that 9 bard has through clickies or scrolls (with UMD).

For a bardcher, I'd much prefer something like 16 bard (virtuoso II), 2 fighter, 2 x (ranger or rogue) half-elf with either ranger or rogue dilettante. The feats are tight but it can be made to work.

Hello - I have had a similar build for a while now and I enjoy it quite a bit! I choose elf because it was before helf was in the game. The AA is an important part of the burst DPS - I would try to get it (if only for the slaying arrow at 20).

    Enjoy!

I had a 11 (Ranger) 8 (Bard) 1 (Rogue) Tempest Warchanter (MaelTemWac) that was very effective and great fun. At the time I figured it was the highest DPS possible (if you combined self + party buffs) and a great duel wop (pre-nerf) build.

Note: 8 --> 9 Bard < 1 Rogue (for skills, reflex save, and damage output).

The primary issue was to-hit against tough targets.
This was pre-tower so maybe with morganna's and kensai it would be viable again even in end-game elite/epic.

It's 5 levels for 3 feats and evasion. Everything else can be replaced by UMD, clickies, wands and scrolls.
You actually didn't mention about the only thing that is valuable: an extra FE and an additional +2 vs FE's.
3 feats and evasion can quite easily be acquired elsewhere at a lesser cost.

Expanding on my suggestion above, half-elf,

16 bard (virtuoso II), 2 fighter, 2 ranger, rogue dilettante: 12 feats (works fine as elf too)
TWF, Strength Shot, Rapid Shot, PBS, WF:R, Manyshot, PS, IPS, Toughness, Extend, Empower Healing (or maximise), IC: R

16 bard (virtuoso II), 2 fighter, 2 rogue, ranger dilettante: 9 feats (excluding mini str-shot)
PBS, RS, WF:R, Manyshot, PS, IPS, Toughness, IC:R, Empower Healing (or maximise)

The first build can swap Extend and Empower Healing for ITWF and GTWF if desired. Either build can simply use a 2 handed weapon and twitch for effective single target melee DPS. Both builds are competent bards able to emergency heal, fascinate and have decent songs and OID. The first build focuses on Bard duties and DPS (as is, it probably has better DPS in many situations than the OPs build) while the second sacrifices some DPS for evasion and trap skills.

A 9/11 build like the OPs would be a pain to level. Ideally, you'd want all the ranger levels up front as they have the combat power that you need to level but then by the time you start taking bard levels the buffs will be pretty useless.

If the OP wants a ranged character that has some good self buffs then 18-20 ranger is the way to go. 18 ranger, 1 rogue, 1 monk is a great build that can have full UMD, haste boost and isn't restricted to being (half-)elf. The full UMD and 18 ranger levels makes this a better self buffer than the OPs build by far and it can do traps and have a great AC.

I have not looked closely at the OPs build, but 11 ranger also has cure moderate wounds spell. My 11 ranger 9 monk H-elf can hit herself with cure moderate wounds using sup ardor 3 pots for 250ish self cures. This build could hit 175ish-200 easily.

I actually like this split quite a bit. Assuming the OP decides to go with warchanter you are only -1 off a pure spell singer so this could do the songs in raids although in LOB and MA higher difficulties this build could struggle due to running out of songs so would have to wear stormsinger cloak probably. It could be quite good in LOB though with smart player behind helm.

This build is very easy to level you either go with 11 ranger 1 bard to start or two ranger 7 bard.

In regards to Stockwizards split I would have to consider fighter or barbarian instead of rogue for more hit points. My biggest concern with this build is actually hit points.
Norg Fighter12/Paladin6/Monk2, Jacquiej Cleric18/Monk1/Wiz1, Rabiez Bard16/Ranger3/Cleric1, Hangover Bard L20, Boomsticks Fighter12/Monk 6/Druid 2, Grumblegut Ranger8/Paladin6/Monk6, Rabidly Rogue L20, Furiously Rogue10/Monk6/Paladin4, Snowcones Cleric 12/Ranger 6/Monk 2, Norge Barbarian 12/FVS4/Rogue4. throw away dex. 11 ranger for twf, dex is not needed, unless you want the first tier only.
looks pretty fun to play tho.
A rogue is basically, "Look at me or die."
