Basically I'm looking for a ranger that's arcane but decent in weaponing it.
I played an AA ranger to 16 to try it out. Helf, kept his str and dex about even (all lvs in str)
Sure using the bow wasn't as much dmg as the melee, but it was more survivable. And fun with the crits around 100 to 120.
He could melee well to, chop up dmg like no tomorrow. Their was one problem, even with his hp (I tried out barb dili to stack on some more with a lil dr) He still just couldn't really get into the fight mostly.
So I was hoping someone could recommend a build that was ranged but with more grit. And that held 12 levels of ranger. (I rather like being self sufficient with wands, pots and heal spells, now adays you can't depend on the mage to toss a concealment, or healer to click on you.)
So any tested true builds someone has played? Yes I know about helves but not looking for a fighter build, just a nice specialist ranged self dependent build that switches up and goes to cut up harry. It doesn't have to amazing dmg, average is just peachy.
