Question How long does it take to get epic stuffs?

I am thinking of getting a couple of epic-enabled packs soon, and was wondering how much time it would take to acquire certain gear items. I have run some stuff in Fens and VoN so far, but nothing really interests me in them, or fits my characters, but looking at House P and D epics I could find uses for items in there. So, how long would it take me, running on two characters, to get lets say one house P item on average? thanks all

    Not sure on time frame.

But the variables involved = finding item you want, finding the scroll for item , finding the shard for item, then finding the seal for the item.

All of these based on their drop rates will affect time frame to get one item epicfied .

Along with the time you have to run these quests over and over again to get said items...

Just like everything else, it really depends on your luck...

My very first Evon6 I pulled the Shard of the SoS... Everyone says that is the hard piece to get...

6 months later it is still the only piece I have...

I have a bag of shards, seals and scrolls... but no shard +seal+scrolls... But it is possible to pull all three in a week (just not likely)

Also while the Cove event is still here, till the 9th i believe.

You should run that and try to get some epics. You can buy them outright from the barter box with items farmed in the event.

Stalwart trinkets are nice to get also and upgrade them to tier 3

Epic scimitar, cutlass , ratkiller are nice, and the armor also

It takes a long long time farming the quests... because of the ridiculously low droprate.

That is unless you are lucky and get the item, the shard, the seal and the scroll drop when you do the quest chain.

Varies a lot from item to item, from pack to pack.

Generally speaking, house p / house d items are really easy to craft compared to von/sands items

It's almost impossible to answer you.
It depends on your luck, and your ability to find team to run epic raids.
Drop scrolls is just a big pain, and now(because it was not enough) with this "awsome update 11" it will be more difficult to find some "permanent" team or pugs.

House P = Overall the items really aren't to bad, unless you need a seal from "A Small Problem", not that seals are incredibly rare, but it's probably the most difficult, and least run Epic out of the House P chain.

Shards are pretty easy, every person in the group will get 1 shard for every Epic Big Top completion (and 1 full token) and it's a 15-20 minute run, even with the nerf, once you get used to it. You will find that most people that have run this quest a lot will be glad to trade or even give you their shards, as anyone that did BT before the nerf probably has oodles of House P shards.

Seals are a bit rarer, but nothing to extraordinary. This will most likely be your bottleneck unless you get lucky. The seal quests are more difficult than Big Top, but not much, House P is arguably the easiest set of epics.

Scrolls, well, are not any rarer than in any other place, and none of them really command a hefty price, even after the House P items got some significant boosts. I am pretty sure you can get any scroll you want from House P for 2-ish FRDS or less, most of them sell in the 100-200kpp range, on Khyber at least.

House D can be a little frustrating though, as some of the seals are stubbornly rare, and seem to not be run as much as other epics, probably because most of the items are fairly "niche" as opposed to widely desired/wanted among numerous classes.

    Default It all depends....

......on how many kobold shamans you've killed. When epics first came out, I spent 7 months trying to make anything from Menechtaraun desert Epic, and the closest I got after that time was I needed the Cloak of Zephyr shard. But 5 of those 7 months was chasing that shard. Noone would give much away back then, in case they decided in the future to make that item. My first Epic item was a Mabar cloak, because I cant loot an epic required ingredient if my life depended on it. I have soloed and grouped in Epic desert quests too many times to count, and as yet, have not yet looted a single scroll, let alone 1 I was after.

Mind you, you may be one of the lucky ones that can find everything you need in a few runs. But as the saying goes, you wont find it if you arent looking.

I wish you good luck if you decide to get Epic or not. the rewards are worth it, but it can be a time sink, or a waste of time (in my case atleast :P)

Frankly, it's too hard to answer your question because it all depends on luck, and whether the people you group with need shards/seals or are just in it for the tokens.

My wizard started running epics a few weeks ago, got a scroll (dragon's eye in eVoN 1) on his first run, has done about 20 epic quests since then, mostly VoN ones, but has yet to get another scroll, a seal, or a shard anywhere other than eBig Top.

My cleric just started running epics yesterday, and in 3 quests so far has got 2 shards and a seal, mostly because the guildies I ran with didn't need what they pulled. So in a day, that character is 1 scroll away from being able to craft the epic big top, and she has enough money to buy that scroll if she wanted.

This is based on my experience :

In about 1 or 2 weeks running daily with 2 characters and doing a bit of scroll farming, you should be able to craft a few epic items from House P.
However if you want specific items it can take a fair bit longer, I'd think in 1 month you should be able to craft almost all house P items. Seals will obviously be the bottleneck for most of them tho.

For house D, even if there are a lot less items, it can take a bit longer since the drop rate on shards is fairly low (compared to guaranteed in House P).

Other epics differ. Fens is quite easy (about the same difficulty as house P, except scrolls are a bit harder to farm), VoN is harder (raid to get the shard mean one run every 3 days ... and item list is bigger), and Desert is ... long

If you're farming scrolls, probably quite a while. If you're buying them, I'd say you can probably get any item within a week or two of running both the seal and shard drop quests every day. Maybe I'm extraordinarily lucky or Khyber is really nice about putting things up for roll, but I made at least 3-4 P items this way.

Probably the biggest exception would be something from Small Problem, most notably the seal of the ring of elemental essence.

Akrites: 10 Wiz (TRed Bard), Oakianus: 20 Wiz and Odanta: 20 Monk. All on Khyber, because I love drama.

Something to consider: the more Epic-able items in the adventure pack, the harder it is to get the one you want.

It took me about 2-3 weeks of farming Epic Chronoscope to get most of the Epic items from this pack (full Abishai set, robe, timeblade, crossbow ...).

The biggest impact you will have on aquiring any of it is how many toons do you have and how many are capable of completing epic quests? You will need some way to aquire scrolls be it via farming or buying/trading and 1 toon could take months with 1 completion only every 16hours vs someone with 4 toons getting 4 completions every 16hours to pull the seals and shards to complete the items.

Getting a House P epic item might take you 10 runs of each of two quests (for a more popular item) or 4 runs of each average (for an item noone else wants).

Augmenting the item will take a lot more.

On the other hand, getting a specific ADQ1 item - yeah, it's not happening.

I think, if you're going to run this with guild/friends, its going to take a lot less time, as they're more willing to pass seal/shard to you, than a complete stranger.

I don't ever plan gear around epic desert items, too long a list. I'd love an epic Sirocco but am absolutely not holding my breath. Similar story with VON - I have one epic item from there (Epic Helm of the Mroranon) and that's down to generousity of guildies in passing the shard and base item, and having a very lucky seal drop in eVON1.

Fens, House D and House P are all more obtainable, as was the stuff from eChrono, although I'm not seeing many PUGs up for that at the moment. eChrono does at least have everything drop in one place, which can make things easier.

    Agree with the above.

House P: 5-10 runs on average to get the seal you want. 2-5 runs on average to get the shard you want. You may get luckier, you may get horribly unlucky (took me 35 runs to get the Mask of Comedy seal, in a group that would all give me that particular seal). Typically, these are the easiest to finish because the drop rates are good, and the quests are run quite often.

House D: Shards aren't too horrible to get, around 10 runs on average I'd say. Seals are heavily dependant on luck. I've known several people that have run Bargain of Blood and Black Loch close to 50-60 times and still don't have the seal they want. Supposedly, Spies in the House has the best rates, but it is among the most difficult epics in the game.

Fens: In between House P and House D. Not quite as easy to make the items as House P, but not quite as luck dependant as House D.

VoN: Depends heavily on the item, and where the seal is most common. Items where the seal is most common in VoN3 are typically very rare. Items with high demand shards (Sword of Shadows) can also be very hard to get.

Sands: You're playing the lottery. The quest specific items aren't terribly hard to get, but they're still a grind compared to even House D/VoN. Raid and Explorer area items you just have to hope you get insanely lucky.
