Count me for a solid "NO".
These are essentially raid loot. They should not be purchasable.
Additionally, as the only raid loot which does not stay with you on a TR, they are one of the hardest to acquire raid loots (if only because you may need to acquire them multiple times over a succession of lives, and because having extra copies in the bank is of some potential benefit).
In other words: it makes more sense for something like Madstone Boots to be purchasable, and I think we can all agree that's insane even for something which ostensibly makes you insane. 'Nuff said.
NO.
...mostly due to the fact that +3 tomes are raid loot and thats a barrier thats never, and should never be crossed.
"I don't know half of you half as well as i should like, and i like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
Yes.
And, I think the sample you get on the forums greatly overexaggerates the "hardcore" side of the playerbase. If the Nos didn't win here, I would be very surprised.
+3 tomes WERE the bees knees. Now they are like how +2 tomes were when the Shroud came out. We have +4 tomes now. Soon, we will see +5 tomes. +3 will be dropping from non-raid chests. It's the trend for this game, and I think it is inevitable. Keeping them out of the store will seem like such an inconvenience come 2012.

Put me down under the they crossed the line, WAY hard for this one, they danced all over it and spit on it. Why not epic desert scrolls and seals and shards while we're at it too.
Ah well, I'm back from my vacation, rather relax, and realizing I care less and less what happens now, in fact I'm questioning whether they'll ever see another dime from me, or more than $2 here and there, a far cry from the $20+ per month I used to spend.
Awesome Vacation put things in perspective
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.
