222 Elite Bravery Streak

It's eminently beatable, and am sure some people are beating it right now, but hey, I took a screenshot. The 222 streak was comprised of

Literally every quest on elite up to and including level 16 quests with the exceptions of:
-Von 5
-Von 6
-ADQ 2
-Titan Part 2 (Unsure of technical name, but did do the pre-raid on elite at level thanks to the help of better players than myself. Yours truly messing up on the laser ensured no one in the group got this one.)
-Desert Caravan (because I hate it and still haven't done it)
-Delirium (Because it's closed)

Side note: Don't miss the 3 Threnal wilderness area quests! They do contribute to a streak despite not being in the quest log!

So a 228 at this point would be possible (with 32 to go I think? so 260 being the actual max possible in the game at this point).

I'm ending it now because everything has started looking really darn hard on elite at level and given I'm only solo or pugging getting to 20 while maintaining the streak would be unenjoyable. Especially since I wouldn't even get the joy of completing a perfect streak.

I'm off to run Acute Delirium on normal, or maybe a shroud if a pug is up. Sweet freedom!

How much additional questing after you did the quests for your first time was required to fill the gaps between the levels? (I.e. how viable is the streak mechanic as an alternative to Nx8HE farming on TRs?)

And: What's your total favor atm?

Briefly, all up I suspect it took me in the ball park of 80 hours. +/- 20 or so at a guess, but that could be wildly inaccurate.

Not much repetition at all; off-hand,
I farmed wizard king to ransack (stupid rune-arm).
I ran cove 4 times.
I did Running with the Devils on hard and normal.
I repeated the 'Missing' series on Elite twice and Normal once.
I ransacked Garamol (stupid rune-arm).
I did Shadow Crypt on both Elite and Hard once each (rumours about rune-arm for chain reward - didn't show for me at least).
I did Threnal West and South on Elite, Hard and Normal (stupid rune-arm wouldn't drop).
I've run Devil Assault 4 times on Elite (stupid rune-arm).

If there are others, there aren't many.

Favor = 3100ish. I got bonus 25 points just after/just before I ended my streak; can't remember timing.
And yep it's a TR2 exp curve.

Oh, and Delirium was definitely still closed about 20mins before I took that screenshot earlier tonight.

Bravery is great up till level 17, then. Well. You're a better player than I if it's more efficient than ordinary normal farming from there till 20 (which for some people will doubtless be true).

I'm doing something very similar on a TR3 of mine (also Artificer)

My streak is at 50-something and I'm level 6. I've done only the quests required and I've made sure to finish out everything before I took the level. For instance, I did Tangleroot 1 and 2 while I was level 5 ... now I've leveled to 6 and will do the next bits. I did STK 1 before I leveled, etc.

I *DID* do a few ahead of schedule (and will do others). I'll probably finish STK while I'm 6th; I finished catacombs while I was 5th (last quest is 4th, so could have done it after I leveled to 6th) but grouping makes some of this impractical.


My impression:
- Grouping is still fun and makes the chain quests faster
- Grouping doesn't feel like it makes the non-chain quests easier. Time to get a group, time for folks to join ... even if it takes me 10-15 minutes it's still faster for me to do it solo and have folks join.
- I actually went to the harbor after finishing the grotto and did the solo quests first AND hit the rares/etc. in cerulean hills, showing up at Korthos as 2nd level.

I have repeated only a very few quests AT ALL, let alone Nx8. Quests I repeated and why:

Heyton's Rest (for additional Rune Arm)
Collaborator on N, H (once each) because it was decent XP
Sacrifices on H because it was fast XP
Information is Key on H
Kobold's New Ringleader on H and N (once each)
Waterworks Chain on H (for Rune Arm)

Chains where I don't get the Rune Arm the first time through, I'm definitely repeating for the Rune Arm. STK for instance I may run a few times.


I've not started seriously banking levels yet - 4th level quests seem to be a dead-ish area, so I may find I repeat more as XP is more scarce. Typcially this is the area where you hit Necro 1, but I'm kinda holding that for a level so I can get the XP on bravery.
