Perhaps that's not a reason to stay, but it's a reason to not delete your toons if you choose to go for a break again.

Have you considered trying a different way of playing? Perhaps a PD guild - or even making gimpy chars that have a real hard time surviving?

I notice you on LFM from time to time and you play pretty hard core (compared to myself) in terms of time invested. That is I see you lvl a TR faster than I bother to lvl my non TR alt.

That kind of play style tends to burn people out. I've got two static groups going atm that I have a blast with - those characters only get played once a week or so - but it makes the game fun to play when you are all committed to the same goal - and your toon isn't feeling stale when you do play.

I also notice you are a guild leader (according to your sig) - that's another high burnout role.

OTOH there are other F2P games out there right now that are decent - LoTRO - EQ2 - WoT

Pick one of those up and play it for a week or two - you'll find it makes you miss DDO.

Unfortunately anytime you have too much of a good thing - it will get old, boring and stale. This is true about everything though - it's not just video games (or just DDO) - finding a good book (or twenty), another hobby, just something else to do that keeps you away from the game can enhance your enjoyment when you do get to play.

Also, I guess I did not really express myself correctly with the thread title. Most of you, almost all actually, assumed that I am quiting. I am not. This is more of an attempt to get fresh ideas on to how to enjoy the game more before it gets to the point of quitting again. I do not wish to cause the same trouble to a certain person by quitting as I did last time...

because nothing beats helping out random pugs

(idk why people are so blase about it, or why you are... everyone has their own reasons... hmm,,,, i like the funny of the pug, im trying to find reasons to solo, as pugs are almost nonexistant and i don't static, though i could try, it don't do it for me, too static/regimented, same time each week? hmm, maybe if i felt I was better at it. I like to pug and make new different toons that are probably broken but fun to try anyways, at least to 100 or 200 favor, till they don't work anymore)

I play all servers alphabetically rotating, till the pugging runs dry and/or I get tired of soloing/tweaking characters
