mm receiving an incoming hit for 50 points of damage, the improved shield feat at a 5% increase, would indeed be worth 2.5 extra points of DR.

I was thinking about a build like this for one of my casters but I'm not entirely convinced of the tank usefullness as of yet. I think you are trying to force a class into a role it was never meant to fulfill. That's why I was thinking the feat was a bit over-the-top.

If you really plan on being main tank 90% of the time I understand taking the improved shield feat and hope you have a lot of fun doing so!

When you put it that way... You have a way with words my friend. And as I stated earlier, this build was a friends idea, simply made it for him. Yeah sorc tank is wierd... And the 12 sorc/6 paly/2 monk has been done before and it is a very versitile build. This is my attempt to make a tank. You could switch this to top tier dps in a snap.

And when I make this build I probably will switch out Imp Shield for something else. (Busy with my first TR ever)

Hehe ok then. Well I was just thinking what I would like to get out of a build like this..not sure yet really, need some more time contemplation while being at work not working

I just know I wouldn't want to confine myself to competing with that 18/2 pal/mnk 85+ AC 900HP full twf dps walking into our ToD. I'm very attracted to this build though and gonna see how I can make it work for me.

Ive also seen a version of this build that was based around being Melee Crowd Control/Tanking. Look up Invisi or Bility on Cannith and you can see, they made it 12 Sorc/6 Fighter/2 Rogue. They use the Epic Swashbuckler from the CCevent and Epic Sirroco. They bring dps and some of the best CC ive ever had. They have 4 different 5% proc effects that trip, stun, knockdown, or whirlwind (Air elly thing) and then they double dot as Air Savants
