Default I'm pretty sure hirelings would be more fun if...

There was an option to make one of your alternate toons a hire. It seems like it would be simple, use said option, pick its default attack, and four abilities to put on the hire bar, and use the default hire AI. Of course there would be programming technical stuff that I know nothing about, but wouldn't it be a lot cooler if you knew exactly what your hire was capable of because you chose it?

Sounds good to me, maybe it could even gain some XP. Even if only 10% of the XP, would still be neat.

It would be great fun but I guess it would be hell to program it and it would have to many unknown outcomes for the game. Some exploits here, some bugs there...but its a nice idea.

I figured it would be a fun concept. Turbine already stores all our character info so that would make it a little easier to do. Maybe a ddo store purchase like a store hire.

Downside is seeing hireling ai applied to your own character, my alts would likely get deleted due to growing to dislike them as i do hires.

In the meantime, there's always the old way: 2-boxing (or 3, or 4....limited only by the number of machines you have or copies of the game you can handle running on one machine, I suppose). Free accounts make it easy
