Although I highly doubt anyone to take much notice of this ( I wont be offended ) I was (and technically still am) a moderator and a DM on another online RPG game (an old NWN PW if anyone remembers those :P)
(Thats a lot of brackets right there)

On the forums we had two sections specifically for people ranting and people raving.

Raves are happy fun fun and everyone gets to see them. The idea being you big up that latest DM / Dev / QA / Player who has done something great recently.

Rants are dark evil places where people get to get the **** their holding in off their shoulders. They can ***** about whoever they want, whenever they want, as long as they do not mention names or make personal attacks. To see these, you have to join the group that can read them. Anyone was allowed to join, but the idea was you could opt out of seeing them.

I mention this because I think it would be a great addition to these forums. Time after time after time I've started to read a thread because it isn't obviously labeled as an attack on the Dev team or how **** this is or how **** that is or why these players were total berks.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if they are wrong And honestly I think the forums here are extremely lenient, maybe because of the sheer amount of numbers, but I can gaurantee the majority of the flame posts I see here would be moved to either Rants, a thread jail or in very rare cases just downright deleted on the forums I mod/modded.
What would be great is if the people who want to make these kind of posts had a section they could run wild with their words, but at the same time people like myself (unless Im the only one in which case please feel free to lynch me) could avoid.

Dont get me wrong I have nothing against people being annoyed and making a constructive, and hells even polite post about it, I'll read that. It would be nice however not to have to read the latest flaming of Turbine and the Devs because they nerfed the amount of damage the Hammer Of Natural Bunny Smiting does to Evil Outsider Bunnies and made it bound to someone elses account. Yes you can say do not read that, well sometimes your already reading because a thread had an inadequate subject title before you realise its just a flame post and you hit the back butten and move on.

Anyway thats my little idea, and its wasted the last 15 mins of my work day too
