More information is always good. What people do or not do with that information is their problem.

I would also like to see guild level next to the guild name . Some epic quest need good dc and I try to join people that can invite me to their ship for that +1 or +2 if evocation or conjuration.
If memory serves me correctly, we used to have this. I think it disappeared about the same time they switched anonymous to a blank (around or just after GH mod?). I'd love to have guild information in the LFM. There are certain guilds I really enjoy running with and certain guilds I really don't like running with. This isn't about discrimination; this is about my enjoyment of the game I'm paying for.
Also, I think guild info for anonymous characters should show up.
/signed (liked the 2nd UI better)
as said previously, the info is there if you /who leaders/people anyway, and if anything it will prevent drama instead of causing it - wouldnt you rather know you should not join a group instead of joining and figuring its not the 'right' kind for your playstyle/people you like/hate etc?
Personally I don't care about anon as I consider joining a group as anon impolite - I do forget to switch it off before joining sometimes (hate random tells on my fvs while soloing sins for e.g.), but then its just my fault not intentional 'avoiding to be seen' - and yet again you see anon's real identity AFTER joining regardless so how would it harm anyone to know up front?
just my 2cp
/signed. I like the format in post 15. I'm meh about the idea about including guild level suggested above.

and oh btw all loot is ours so don't join if you don't agree. Quest - The Chronoscope on Elite 18-20
I say swing for the fences on this... I mean anything the speeds up the process of me excluding myself from groups quicker and more efficiently is always welcome...
as nothing is more terrifying than clicking on "join" in LFM and finding yourself in a group with 5 people from high end guilds with all kinds of symbols around their names, then wondering if they are going to sacrifice you so they can put you in their backpack for the rest of the quest to make sure it goes more smoothly...
but maybe need to take it one step further and allow people to filter guilds so their LFMs show or don't show depending on your view of them... although the onslaught of server crashes to follow may not make this option practical.

You know I had been using the Improved Sarcasm font exclusively but it seems in a unannounced hotfix they slipped in the Greater Sarcasm font... keep up the good work guys!
Couldnt hurt, i like the idea.

Sadly, on the server I play on blacklisting entire guilds makes perfect sense. The uber elite, or rather those who think they are, have congregated into their own guilds, where being obnoxious seems to be one of the primary requirements for joining.
I am a member of a level 70 guild, so its not like I play for The Little Sisters of the Poor. At the same time, we have a Guild Code of Conduct and one of its primary principles is "Be respectful of everyone you meet in game". For the guilds I have blacklisted, its safe to say that any of their members would be booted from my guild based upon their conduct.
If you play on a server where this isn't taking place, you should consider yourself lucky.
And thats fine by all menas be selective in who you group with casue I am. I just dont see where what guild soemone is in has anythign to do with that player in particular. I personally use my "friends list" to keep track of the "exceptional" players i would preferr not to run with. But what i dont do is automatically give someone or a group a "your good" or "you suck' based on what guild they are in which is exactly where this propsed change is headed regardless of intent. If you dont think so just look at whats going on with HP/SP in UI and then tell me it wont happen.

Certain people are so...odious, that even associating with that person makes you ungroupable. It has nothing to do with skill, and all about personality. If you're the type of person who can stand THAT type of person, then I want nothing to do with either of you.But I'm against blacklisting the whole guilds. You can blacklist a person, but why the whole guild? In a guild there are so many different players. Blacklisting the whole guild makes no sense.
You may be a perfectly nice person, but your best friend is the Grand Kleagle of the local Klavern, and that's crossing a line.

I like the idea, ESPECIALLY since there are a couple guilds on Sarlona that only pass loot to Guildies or guildies first, even though they have the choice as it is their loot. I choose not to run with them is all. It would be nice to know who there before I switch toons to join the group to find out it's a group of mostly people I don't want to be around. If I can't use it, you can roll on it, thats how I like to roll.. those are the peeps I like to be around plain and simple.

Wait, can you hear it? Is it? The worlds smallest vio..nah... nevermind... it can't be, its too small..
Remind me of this: TMBG - Your Racist Friend.
And I completely agree. It works from all sides. There's some guilds (not all, nor even most) that just seem to attract and actively recruit people with a complete lack of social grace, compassion, empathy or anything remotely close to humanity. I'll group with newbies, vets, 25x TR's, powergamers, casuals, whatever comes along. But you have to at least acknowledge the existence of your party members as fellow humans and not just Hirelings with better AI.
Also, completely agree with this whole idea. Love the layout with Guild Name on the same line as location. Looks sleek and very useful.
