Should I do Equipment Disjunction again if I want to upgrade prefix?

I crafted Strength +4 on my gloves. Now I want to upgrade the +4 to +5. Should I do Equipment Disjunction for my gloves again?

That's the only way to do it right now. Make sure you have the crafting levels to make the +5 shard first though.

Keep an eye out for un-named Bound to Account items in end reward lists for chains.

That way you can pass items around alts as you level them. You will go through less shards that way instead of disjuncting each item as you wish to upgrade it along the lifetime of each character.

Not really.

I would recommend you try overwrite it first -- unless it said you cannot.

At the current stage some prefix/suffix is allowed to overwritten, for example, you can upgrade +1 full plate to +2 full plate even without disjunction, but some restriction does exist. So overwrite flaming touch shortsword with Axiomatic shard will result a failure (only disjunction works in this case).

I have yet to find the rule (and don't really bother to experiment all kinds of shard to seek it out), but I'm positive that overwritten is still function in some case.

Last time I checked (before U11, admittedly):
* Prefix and suffix can not be directly overwritten.
* Enhancement bonus (+1, +2, etc.) can be overwritten - both upwards and downwards, even if a prefix and suffix are present.
* Crafting potential can be increased, even after a prefix/suffix has been added.

Well, not SO simple... you probably need to apply a +1 to the weapon first so that you have enough potential to apply the +4 shard, or whatever (and you'll need 1 more potential than you should because of their bug.)
