    Default Morgana's Set

Giving up the epic buchaneer's ring and equipping the morgana's ring to complete the set.

    losses

AC goes from 52 down to 45 (shouldn't make much difference for most content at level 20 which is what I'm going for)
Saves goes down 2 (good luck bonus which doesn't stack with recitation or some other buffs so no real need to replace as long as I'm able to keep a good luck bonus on there)
    UWA (who cares?)
Dex -7 (reflex save is the main issue here though I could slot a +7 enhancement on some epic item but I'll probably not replace it)

    gains

+2 turns (it's unfortunate that I swap this item with amara's for the clicky because it removes 2 turns rather than just taking the max number of turns from 12 to 10. So if I'm at 6 turns and I hit amara's for +75% healing, I automatically go to 4 which will likely come into play at some point if I go with this set)
+2 to hit (seems excellent on a max WIS cleric who likes to melee)
+1 exceptional STR (it currently puts me at an odd number but these things will be adjusted.
+6 WIS (already on my concordant opposition goggles so this does nothing for me)

I guess it's a clear upgrade. However, is there another ToD set that I should be looking for instead. As it doesn't seem like as big of an upgrade as I was expected (though I guess after I slot it... still not sure what to upgrade the ring with). What ToD sets do you use on your clerics and what upgrades do you put on your rings?

On my caster cleric I have the Dragonmarked ring always equipped, slotted with Wisdom (giving me +6 charisma +3 exceptional wisdom). I have the Torc in the necklace slot. My right hand has either the Amara's band slotted with charisma, for extra turns and bursts when raid / epic healing, or the Rakhir's set for the major arcane lore (I have dragonscale also) slotted with healing amp for soloing. I also have some random trash ring with +15% fire absorption for the 1st part of TOD and harder Shrouds.

I don't melee much if at all on that toon though. If you like a little melee I think Morgana's is an excellent choice - what I'm aiming for on my hybrid melee FvS.

The set is one of the best TOD sets, even for a non-cleric. I believe it's +4 to hit in total. The restriction of swapping belts kind of sucks, but you can still use ardor VI and eventually ardor VII weapon clickies (when you get your crafting skills high enough.

Although I would still consider just using buccaneer's for now, at least until you can slot good luck and +6 dex somewhere else. That's a +5 to reflex, which is certainly going to help out a lot.

For caster-type Cleric, +2 Wis for DCs, and the Rahkir's Archmage set for bigger DP & BB crits.

For a melee-type Cleric, the same stuff any melee would want. (Some nice melee set bonuses out there.)

I personally don't any of the "Cleric" sets to be that compelling for a Cleric.

Have you considered swapping the Epic Buccaneer's ring with a Tumbleweed? You lose UWA, +2 Luck bonus, a green slot, and protection +5- and only the luck bonus and green slot mean anything really to you- and gain +2 to-hit (and +10 tumble, worthless as it is) for a trade of 1 point in DEX (+7 EBR to +6 Tumbleweed). This may prove a better switch than trying to slot a few effects on other Epic gear. Something which becomes boring quite quickly if you need to grind tokens.

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

I have the warpriest set on my wf Fvs, and it is a really nice swap set for epics. +4 to hit, and allows me to put something else in my glove slot other than the spectrals. I can generally keep power attack on even in most epics.

There are better sets, but if you have it, this one is not bad.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of having the set permanantly equipped. I plan to TR him into a human and I think the extra build points will do some good however, I'm trying to plan what he'll look like at level 20 next life. I'm leaning towards keeping approximately the same build (generalist). I think this set is great on a generalist type of character.

Thank you all for your input. I think I'll post the build and gear setup I have later for review for when I TR. Still trying to do my final 20th completions on VoD before that happens.

my melee cleric has the 3 complete cleric sets and after testing them I use the silver flame set. the ardor, sp, and most importantly the 4 turns (3 bonus and +1 exceptional cha gets me to even cha) is huge for healing from the front line. i slotted 20% healing amp on the ring.

i also use a second tod set, the tempest set, with +2 exceptional con slotted. i had a really hard time slotting balance until I picked up this set and the extra slicing damage is great.

the other combo of tod sets that I like would be the warchanter and occult slayer sets but I never got the rings for those after like 20 runs I stopped.
