Slotting in Seekr

I'm having a hard time slotting in seeker for my TWF Dwarf Barb. The character is an alts so it's not a priority when it comes to items in general but he's got a few things none the less.

Currently his item layout looks like this-


Helm- Greensteel 45HP Earthgrab
Chest- Epic Fighting Leathers slotted with Toughness and +6charisma(just because)
Bracers- Fabricator's Bracers
Ring1- Disease Immunity, Heavy Fort, guild augment (hp)
Ring2- TOD frenzy ring +2str
Boots- Madstone
Trinket- Bold Trinket
Cloak- +5resists guild augment slot (envenomed near complete)
Belt- frenzy set belt
Gloves- just need shard for Charged Gauntlets
goggles - Esandstorm Glasses with poison immunity

Trouble is i have no +6 Seeker item. I have a regular Marilith Chain, but there is absolutely no possibility of this toon ever making it epic. Using it loses my Toughness, sneak attack, +4 attack bonus (not a big deal there) and the +6cha that keeps me able to use silver flame pots when needed.

I could buy a bloodstone but it seems like my bold trinket is worth more dps at the end of the day, is it not?

The easiest solution seems to be to recraft your hp item to your goggles and pick up a seeker +6 hat when the cove eventually comes back up. It's possible that in plenty of content you can skip out on the 20 hp from toughness for the extra dps from Marilith Chain. Also when you complete you Envenomed Cloak, that's a good spot to slot toughness.

make a alchemical weapon with tier 1 fire....gives u fire burst and 10+seeker


btw for the goggles wouldnt Tharne's Goggles be better?

some people will disagree, but here's what i think:

bracers: goodbye
new bracers: epic scorched. slot toughness in the scorched bracers and put on yer marilith chain. if you REALLY want sneak attack swap your heavy fort onto env cloak when you get it done, swap the fort ring for ering of venom.. this allows you +3 extra str via abashai set, and two free slots. i didnt see a necklace there, im assuming finger or something of the sort. good necklaces out there available. but have you considered going shintao set?

other gear options to consider are finger/greensteel + epic ring of baphomet, pirate hat + swap goggles for min2 hp (heavy fort), or even if you REALLY want to redo your gear, mari chain + many facets + claw gloves + min2 goggles + helm, cloak, bracers abashai + baphomet + FB set (healing amp slotted) + finger necky. that's what im going for on my barb.


sky's the limit, just make sure you figure it all out before you craft a ton of epic gear on a toon you may want to change later lol.

The epics that this character has are all happenstance. I just so happend to have the ingredients on my main, and he didnt need em' so they ended up on this character. Same is true for all of his greensteel items, same will likely be true for any Alchemicals he gets.

I love his greensteel helm, it looks so cool! hate to remove it and build an identical item of a different slot but that may be the only option...

When i said that the gloves were almost done i ment i only need a seal, when i said the cloak is almost done i meant i still need the scroll... which is costly, too costly for an alt. It could be a while before I budget for it.


Would trying to get a pair of mentaus goggles (spelling?) be a reasonable option for the time being ? I'd miss my sandstorms a little but they aren't all that great so it's not a big deal.


Maybe I should switch to my Ravager set, the 2d6 procs on offhand too and it has 2 seeker. still 4 less then what's considered average but not nothing at least.

hmmm , sure wish the game had some Epic slotting for 4 or 6 seeker.

I would say one of the new Alchemical weapons with +10 seeker on it would be the easiest and most expeditious choice.

You can get seeker on goggles (Mentau's / new ones from 12 chain) as well, might be less painful as a localized swap.

How often does the fabricator bracer proc for you? From what I hear it is an ultra low proc rate so ho hum on that one.. Throw a scorched bracer or something so you get abashi set. You can wear the goggles from update 10 for SA/Seeker that is what I would do..

from what ive heard it procs about as much as a lightning strike.
