Default Three Barrel Cove arrival point

I always thought it odd we go directly to the inside of the Salty Wench Tavern on arrival to Three Barrel Cove. After all we got there by ship (from various docks around Stormreach).

I would like to suggest placing a small vessel (identical to the one in the Harbor that Nadine Shipton is standing on) next to the docking pier that Lars Riflee is standing on. All players would then arrive here on the deck of this ship.

I would then move Evi Joss out of the Salty Wench and place her where Lars is currently standing so she would be the first person encountered as people disembark. (Lars could be moved to the far end of the pier or just slightly around the corner to the front of his ship). Her dialog would remain exactly the same, giving folks the same points of departure that have always been there. However I would also add a sentence or two on the Cove itself - that it can be a dangerous place (wilderness zone - just like Ataraxia's) and that a small but boisterous refuge from all the Cove ruckus can be found up the ramp and through the arch to the right at the Salty Wench Tavern. I'd even add in mention of the Black Loch and the pirate trouble House D is having to her, "Anything interesting going on?" info, just to have a nice pirate theme tie-in. (or in DDO Store language - "adventure pack product placement" )

I think this makes a lot more sense and would be much more impressive on arrival for most people. If nothing else, it's just one easy step to take to tempt more folks into going to this beautiful area.

Obviously, you've never been a sailor.
I gave up a life of farming to become an Adventurer.

    Lol.

Well neither are our characters. Otherwise why don't we go directly from Korthos to the Leaky Dinghy? Or from House K straight into the spa at Ataraxia's? I just think it does 3BC a disservice to have us 'teleport' into a small, dark tavern when there is an absolutely beautiful port that could easily be used instead.

I thought of two other minor changes to Three Barrel Cove that would cool to have as well:

Could we get a DM text message (doesn't need to be voiced) when near the big ship entrance arch leading to the Black Loch saying something like, "This archway allows ship traffic in and out of the Black Loch. It looks like it's blocked from the inside for some reason."

Any chance of getting a small dinghy placed next to the steps coming out of the water at the dock in 3BC harbor that goes to....dun, dun, dun, Kobold Island?
(It's an easy way to add value to the 3BC pack )
