Without having names attached to the blue dots, it just means if the party is spread out, you can pike with impunity and no one will know who or where you are! It's a feature!

Edit: Thanks for the UI improvements coming in Update 11.1 Turbine!

We should take a torch to this place and burn all the Trolls.
Update 11 patch 1 is now live on Lamannia.
See the Lamannia Forum for discussion of the new UI there.
Author of Info Blue UI Skin (Really wish Turbine would update the skinning interface and enable all the new UI parts.)
If you don't have an SSD, you should be using DDOPreload (fixes the slow first login issue)
Oops. Double post.

I am afraid the new UI is worse for me.
The numbers now look smaller and I have to strain my eyes to read them.
To devs: dear devs, please consider you have a diverse audience of players, with different needs.
Also: please consider giving us more options to tweak and resize UI instead of a one-size-fits-all solution.

Why is it that my health on the party bar will appear 50% full at 50% HP but the bar that no longer has my easy access auto attack button will appear I only have 15 to 20% HP at 50% ????
I apreciate the new options for UI, i always wanted too see my HP/SP on % values XD, also its nice to have options to turn off the floating creepy heads ( its creepy when party guys die ) on the party UI on a raid.
Kudos, its pretty slick i use the minimalistic UI and its just super, and works amazing with Cosmos skin.
One thing I forgot in the survey: I wish the bars indicated whether party members were too far away or out of line-of-sight. Anyone who has ever played a Cleric will surely know why.
Took the survey, but also wanted to throw in that I like the changes that have been made. The only thing that still looks bad is if you have both ki and SP.
It's most certainyl "better" than it was 11.1 rather than 11.... BUT..... Since the cooldown color was changed to black, with totally and completely 100% annoying whole bar flash, fromt he old white opaque coloring becasue Madfloyd thought it was too hard to see... Why would whoever designed the "new new" party UI use that same barely visable white coloring to show the character you have highlighted in the party UI. In this case it's near on impossible to actually tell who you have selected...
I mean at least there's some consistancy to the utter mess that is DDO Dev team communication and corralation...
The biggest issue for me is the options. Not only do I have to go in and change 14 characters with my preferred settings, but I am afraid to play with the settings because I dont know what some of them do. I havent had a good experience with the Chat Window Reset button (which sets all my chat windows to display all incoming chat instead of what they were when I installed the game - Party, Combat, Ect), and I dont want to try it with the UI settings and cause weirdness with my display or something.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

I happen to like the extra contrast on my cool downs personally since I can actually see them in periphrial vision as opposed to watching the timers and not the action.
I do agree that something more drastic needs to be done when you click on a name in the party section. It's hard to see who's selected. Perhaps a hunters orange border around the graphic (or something to that effect) that says "HEY THIS GUY'S SELECTED!" even if it's just around the class icon.
I have problems with the new black coloring of the cool down indicator.. I DO have a problem with all my bars flashing balck when I hit any 1 single hotbar key.... Flash flash flash.... That's down right annoying...... It's the global cooldown thing... There was always a light white shade over the individual cool down bar bax for the total individual item cooldwon, well at least sicne EU came out..... I guess seeing it depended on how you had your contrast set.
